This Psalm of King David's depicts his commitment to a holy life. Of how he desired to commit his ways unto the LORD in all that he did. King David was not a perfect man but his heart was perfect towards God. This Psalm is a great blessing to those who desire to live holy as King David did. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly. There is much wisdom to be found in Proverbs and in Psalms. This is one of my favorite Psalms. Psalm 101.
__________
I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD,, will I sing.
I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside, it shall not cleave unto me.
A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I cut off: him that hath
an high look, and a proud heart I will not suffer.
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me:
he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
He that worketh deceit shall not dwell in my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
I will early destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all wicked doers
from the city of the LORD.
Psalm 101

King David had very high standards for those who served him and for those who dwelled in his city. King David was a man after God's own heart! Psalms is the longest book in the bible. I believe it also one of the greatest!
