For the second time in a week a federal judge has publicly castigated lawyers who filed lawsuits disputing the results of the 2020 presidential election based on nothing more than Donald Trump’s false belief that he had votes stolen from him.​

Two Colorado lawyers filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of 160 million American voters just before last Christmas, alleging a vast conspiracy to steal the 2020 presidential election by the voting equipment manufacturer Dominion Voting Systems, Facebook, its founder Mark Zuckerberg, his wife Priscilla Chan and elected officials in four states. The lawsuit asked for $160 billion in damages. The meritless case was dismissed in April.​

Yesterday, Federal Magistrate Judge N. Reid Neureiter blistered the two lawyers with questions about their frivolous claims during a disciplinary hearing, asking them if they had considered if they had allowed themselves to be used a “propaganda tool” by the twice-impeached former president.​

I was hoping that losing in 2020 would end that. So much for THAT idea.
