Go auto...lose less gas!

The humiliated statist lefties have been so "tortured up" since Donald Trump landed the POTUS position that they are now grasping for anything that even resembles a victory for them. All that is needed to send the "Us Vs. Them" lefties into the ole padded cell of the psych ward, is for the S/C to rule the so called assault weapons(just run of the mill semi auto rifles) ban a violation of our 2nd amendment.

The "Us Vs. Them" conflict personality statist left, don't leave sanity without them!

The first thing that Totalitarian dictators do is disarm the citizens.
Then they suppress speech.
Then they start rounding up the dissenters.

Iran is willing to hold out through the bombings from Israel and the U.S. because they know their citizens have no guns. And that is what they fear, the overthrow of their government by the populace.

And they control the populace because the populace has no guns. Unless some country is able to arm the Iranian populace who want change, they don't stand a chance.

An armed citizenry keeps government in check against its citizenry.

One has to wonder "what would the likes of John Jay, Patrick Henry, George Washington. . . have done about the "King" trying to pass a bill to control them in this manner?"

Indeed. But, we were defeated militarily by the likes of Abraham Lincoln and the lying North in 1865. The 'King' had the power to pass any bill it wanted. And it did.

But...we fought against it, and do so this day.

The threshold is much higher now, for when the people will throw off an oppressive government, than it ever was in the early days of the nation.

The Boston Tea party was over a mere tax (pennies on the dollar.)

There is no such boundaries anymore.

The threshold was as high as it can be in 1861. Just because we paid the price, doesn't mean it's over.

Your statements make no sense to me. Please explain.

Sorry for any confusion.

The amount it took to cause our nation's founders to "take up arms" to defend themselves, their freedoms, liberty, etc. . . was a hell of a lot less than what it would take for the vast majority of Americans to do the same, today.

That's all.

The bottom line is, whether in 1776 or 1861, it would cost your life. I view the price the same. And so many patriots paid the price.

And that is the price today....still. It doesn't change. When Americans are wiling to pay.....is the question.

Wow.

Totally different mindset from my own.

The idea is not to be willing to die for your cause, here.

The idea is to make the other son of a ***** die for theirs.

We accept a whole lot more abuse from government nowadays than they did back then.
I'm not sure that's a good thing.

I think this "assault weapon ban" - God, how I loathe that FUCKKING fake term - is fascism.
Plain and simple.
Phony asshole politicians saying, "We're allowed to have them. You're not. And, oh, we have bodyguards to protect us. You paeons must obey us."
There are no words to describe the outright contempt I have for these assholes.
Some jackass the other day in the Virginia legislature gave a speech saying " ... we don't need guns to battle people with guns."
It was the single most stupid remark I have ever seen a person make.
And yet that idiot has gotten his way. Asshole. 😡

Your statements make no sense. You can't make others die for theirs without being willing to die for yours. And you will die for yours if it means anything to you.

You can argue that out with the drill instructors, if you like.

I first learned of that mindset in the Marine Corps.

It wasn't a ***** parade. . . so the "be willing to die" scare tactic wasn't brought up.

It was a given that we were being trained to face an enemy that wanted us dead.

Duh.

My point is: if your cause/loyalty isn't worth your life, it is of no value.
