Colorado Father Fights To Keep Government From Sterilizing His 14-Year-Old Son

Sure. Like I said, it sucks. But this isn't the government sterilizing his son.

I guess any headline that gets the rubes worked up is fair game.

It's the government intervening from him having any say in what happens to his son.

Again, the headline is a lie. This isn't the state of Colorado "sterilizing his 14 year old son". This is a custody battle and the father lost. It just so happens to revolve around a lurid issue that gives MAGA people hardons, so we get stupid headlines to get them all worked up.

The custody battle could have been entirely due to the father not wanting this line of so called 'medical' treatment for his son, and a leftist judge was the one that granted the mother custody. Just because you don't have custody does not mean you don't have parental rights.

Sure, sure. I'm not debating the merits of the case. And it hasn't been resolved yet. Regardless, the headline is a lie designed to stoke fear and anger.

WRONGWINGER-----If that CHILD wanted to shove your own junk up your dumbass, would that be ok too? An underdeveloped CHILD does not get to make life-altering decisions.

Actually, it's not misleading. It's a straight up lie. The government isn't trying to sterilize his son. His ex-wife is.

You want to argue semantics? 🤡 The government is blocking him from having any say in his child's medical care, period. You somehow think that's better?

No, it's not, the government is blocking the father from having any say in his child's medical care, therefore allowing the mother to move forward with what only she deems appropriate. Government power/intervention is what is enabling the entire thing.

It's not semantics. It's a lie. It's naked fear mongering, pushed by partisans who gain traction when people are afraid and angry.

No, it is not. Is this child's mother going to have the only say on whether this child transitions or not? Is the father blocked from having any say in it? The answer is 'yes', to both questions, and it was determined by the government.

He gets a say.
He went to court and the court sided with the child and mother

Yes, it is. It's a lie. The government isn't trying to sterilize his son. The government is only deciding which parent should have the final say.

The issue hasn't been decided yet. And, again, the government is merely deciding which parent makes the call.

I'm with you. I think they should err on the side of caution and wait until the kid is 18. But the headline is still a lie.

? OK. You get at best a C-!:cow:

Personally, I am against it as well. But this is the parent's wishes, just as a Measles vaccine or home schooling.

Sorry, but not even in the same ******* ballpark.

You are the perfect example of moral equivalency belief.

Lines are meant to be drawn. Progressives are incapable of doing so.

The government sided with the mother, taking away the father's rights. The GOVERNMENT intervened. End of story.
