IMVO (In My Vaunted Opinion) ---nobody is lucky to have been enslaved, sold and shipped to a foreign country. We actually do not even know what Africa MIGHT HAVE BEEN and the USA would have
been in the absence of Black Slavery. One could also argue that
jews were "lucky" to have have, historically, been pushed from pillar to post----resulting in exposure to just about every culture in the world-----it made them "adaptable" and in possession of an
interesting cuisine.
