what a piece of work. who does he think kills those laying in the street? it is blacks killing blacks, they are the ones getting away with murder. he has proven to be an idiot raised by white parents that adopted him. and he is now one of the 1 percent really really oppressed.

Colin Kaepernick explains why he sat during national anthem

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has willingly immersed himself into controversy by refusing to stand for the playing of the national anthem in protest of what he deems are wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States.

His latest refusal to stand for the anthem -- he has done this in at least one other preseason game -- came before the 49ers' preseason loss to Green Bay at Levi's Stadium on Friday night.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

His stock is so far down I guess he needs to bring attention to himself. What a spoiled rotten, ungrateful, overrated, classless jock. Just ten years ago this man would be ostracized and shunned by his teammates and ownership and the fans. This is what Obama antiamericanism yields, nut jobs who think it is legit to trash their country and citizens too consumed by political correctness to stand up for their country.

Maybe the Left Tackle for San Fran is a patriot.

What a fucking unreal disaster they are. Fucking moron, like the rest of the stupid spoiled pieces of brainwashed shit, they think they are victims. THOSE FUCKING PEOPLE, think the that gentle giant was murdered.

ESPN, the night before had some black get together in some fucking special addressing how poor blacks are fucking targeted and all of the fucking racism.

All culminating with this piece of black millionaire shit.

Who was it said patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel, or words to that effect?

He was wrong, it's obviously the first refuge.

every year he could make 18 black people millionaires and he would still have a million to live off of. but me thinks he wants us to take care of those he is so concerned about.

Sit or stand, that is his call, that is liberty.
Yes people in this country do have the freedom to be self absorbed, ridiculous, treasonous, libtard morons like a fagot who makes his living throwing around a pig skin.

Your respect for liberty, actually your total lack of respect for it, has been noted.

When you learn to fight for the rights of others to do what you detest, then you will be a real man.

Oh fuck off, moron.

No. Then you're a FOOL, just like the naive morons, who wrote the Constitution with only HALF a description of a Citizen. They listed the Rights of citizenship but failed to list the RESPONSIBILITIES a citizen. Most notably... Loyalty to the nation.

Two responses, neither of them from actual men.

Salute the flag? Burn the flag? In a nation where liberty rules either are the call of the individual citizen. It's a shame neither of you understand that.

The Star-Spangled Banner national anthem wasn't adopted until March 4, 1931. Although I'm not a Kaepernick fan - I support his right to stand or not stand.

On April 10, 1918, John Charles Linthicum, U.S. Congressman from Maryland, introduced a bill to officially recognize "The Star-Spangled Banner" as the national anthem.[12] The bill did not pass.[12]

On April 15, 1929, Linthicum introduced the bill again, his sixth time doing so.[12]

On November 3, 1929, Robert Ripley drew a panel in his syndicated cartoon, Ripley's Believe it or Not!, saying "Believe It or Not, America has no national anthem".[13]

In 1930, Veterans of Foreign Wars started a petition for the United States to officially recognize "The Star-Spangled Banner" as the national anthem.[14] Five million people signed the petition.[14] The petition was presented to the United States House Committee on the Judiciary on January 31, 1930.[15] On the same day, Elsie Jorss-Reilley and Grace Evelyn Boudlin sang the song to the Committee in order to refute the perception that it was too high pitched for a typical person to sing.[16] The Committee voted in favor of sending the bill to the House floor for a vote.[17] The House of Representatives passed the bill later that year.[18]

The Senate passed the bill on March 3, 1931.[18]

President Herbert Hoover signed the bill on March 4, 1931, officially adopting "The Star-Spangled Banner" as the national anthem of the United States of America.[1]

This makes no sense, it’s a ridiculous contradiction.

There is no ‘liberty’ if government can compel conformity through force of law, including punitive measures for those subjectively perceived to be ‘disloyal.’

Liberty is not dependent upon a doctrine of quid pro quo where government will only acknowledge the rights and protected liberties of citizens provided they demonstrate ‘loyalty.’
