CNN's Hunt Notes 'Massive Failure' by Secret Service—Silences Talk of Possible 'Inside Job'

How many Secret Service people did Trump have?

I haven't been able to find this out. How many does he normally have?
~~~~~~
Apparently not enough... Pennsie police were utilized as counter snipers, no drones in the air, no infra-red, or copters and their prescreening of the area insufficient.
If Secret Service counter snipers had been utilized the minute this guy was spotted with a rifle he would have been taken out. There is normally a team that goes into town before a rally to check the route, the surrounding area and establish a safe zone perimeter at a minium of 300 meters/ Crook was well inside that security zone.
Amongst the most important things I left out is communications.. something that was non-existent on Jul 13....
A more likely scenario is that he was prescribed antipsychotics but hasn’t been taking them for a while.
Those are the folks you need to worry about. The folks who need meds, but don't take them.
You may want to look into that more specifically than generally. A lot of people get help from psychiatric medication. About 65 million Americans use them regularly.
I have looked into it specifically.
The meds have major drawbacks....it is well known.
So to sum up:
There is no way You're going to convince a 20-year-old kid to die for a purposely inflicted graze wound on the main target and a purposely inflicted kill shot on the non Target. I mean....you can continue to meander looking for contributory reasons....in the end there are these things:
1.) He was not a Republican (registration is meaningless)
2.) He knew he was going to die
3.) He was definitely unstable
( Stable people don't shoot at candidates from rooftops)
A more likely scenario is that he was prescribed antipsychotics but hasn’t been taking them for a while.
That tracks...however anyone who has worked in and around mental health will tell you that sometimes the meds cause more problems than they solve.
Well, as far as we know, some guy said "there's a dude on the roof over there with a gun". Can't be too difficult for a hillbilly cop to figure out this might be a problem.
But until we know how many agents there were, and how many there usually are, and all the stuff that happened, it's difficult to say what the situation was.
Not true... There are nearly 2000 antipsychotics.... Sometimes people go through 20 or 30 different ones before they find one that actually works. Quite often the ones They are taking can cause rage, depression and delusion.
One thing is for sure.... The Sniper who killed him knew where he was.
There are literally hundreds of different medications we're talking about here. And they each have different side effects, of different severity, that impacts different groups of people to differing degrees. And different dosages.
You're not talking 'specifically', if you're lumping them all together and dismissing them all.
You're speaking generally. My suggestion would be to look at the specific needs you have, and the specific medications that are available. There are very often many choices, with different effects and different side effects. Some less severe, some more effective.
Finding a medication that works for you often takes time. As does dialing in the right dosage. But it really does help millions of people, even with side effects. Just like say, statins. They can dramatically prolong life, even if they have side effects.
So to sum up:
There is no way You're going to convince a 20-year-old kid to die for a purposely inflicted graze wound on the main target and a purposely inflicted kill shot on the non Target. I mean....you can continue to meander looking for contributory reasons....in the end there are these things:
Again, they could have lied to him. They could have promised him he'd be arrested, that he was doing Trump some service to help him get elected. That Trump would pardon him later.
Its unlikely. But then, so is a conservative republican firing on Trump to begin with.
1.) He was not a Republican (registration is meaningless)
That's just a "No True Scotsman" fallacy.
He self identified as republican. You don't know better as to what he 'really' meant.
2.) He knew he was going to die
We don't know that either. It seems likely he wasn't expecting to survive it. But there are several plausible scenarios where he might have convinced himself otherwise.
One thing is for sure.... The Sniper who killed him knew where he was.
The local police went up onto the roof. The secret service knew and they were "keeping an eye" on him.
So, they knew he was there before the shots were fired.
“Sometimes” is vague. If by “sometimes” you mean “very rarely”, then sure.
It’s a class of medications with harsh side effects that need a lot of trial and error and dose adjustments, but they’re almost always better off on them then not.
Psychiatrists are only human, some of them are better at their profession than others. So of course there will be cases where someone’s prescribed a drug they shouldn’t have been.
It’s extremely unlikely that side effects from the shooter’s meds (if any) caused him to do what he did. OTOH, if he was supposed to be on some heavy duty psych meds (and honestly he looks like he’d fit that bill) and wasn’t taking them, that seems like a plausible explanation for a suicidal shooting spree
And most of the time, they don't. Most of the time, they help more than the side effects harm.
Anyone who has worked in and around mental health will tell you that if the side effects of a given medication are that severe, switch to a different med or a different dosage. As the side effects and their severity can also be different. In most cases, side effects are also situational. Some folks experience them, others don't.
So you can find meds that work for you. As millions of people have done, with 65 million taking them regularly.
Unfortunately we no longer have enough Psychiatric facilities to take care of those unfortunate persons. That's the reason we have so many homeless.
Then again, the CIA has found that payients suffering from some psychiatric anomalies are easy to manipulate. Just ask the CIA they're experts at doing that. The fictional Manchurian Candidate in real time.
Homelessness is more complex. The leading cause of homelessness is high housing costs. Which is why its concentrated most severely in the states and regions with the highest housing costs.
And homeless is itself traumatic. I've worked with plenty of folks who bobbed on the edge of severe poverty in relatively good mental health only to fall into homelessness by circumstance and see their mental health erode rapidly. Many people have mental health problems BECAUSE they are homeless. Not the other way around.
Though to your point, there is a solid portion of that community that fell into homelessness due to mental health issues. And those issues can make it all the harder to work your way out.
The skills and emotional intelligence necessary to meet the baseline of professionalism and human civil interaction is a startlingly complex set.
Yeah. Every one of the school shooters was taking psych meds. Every single one.
I’ve had older and retired nurses tell me what it was like to work in the old state psychiatric hospitals that were closed down in the 80s.
The stories about them are not exaggerated.
But they should have been reformed, not shut down.
Turns out the local cops failed worse than anyone
People pointed out the gunman and a cop confronted him and then retreated… apparently without sounding the alarm
You fell for fake news from a leftist kook site yet again.
Desperate Joe ordered this....
Neither Biden nor the secret service chose the state fair location.
Trump owes money to Ten cites.
Due to the Trump Campaign not submitting any payments for the initial debts of the presidential rally, a 21% late fee invoice has also been added. In total, the Trump Campaign owes the City of El Paso over $560,000.Nov 17, 2022
“Do we love law enforcement or what?” President Donald Trump asked a cheering crowd during his “Make America Great Again” political rally Oct. 12 in Lebanon, Ohio.
“Thank you, law enforcement!” the president later told officers, who he called “heroes.”
But when Lebanon City Hall sent Trump’s campaign a $16,191 invoice for police and other public safety costs associated with his event, Trump didn’t respond. Trump’s campaign likewise ignored Lebanon officials’ follow-up reminders to cover the sum — one rich enough to fund the entire police force for nearly two days in this modest city of 21,000, between Dayton and Cincinnati.
The bill remains unpaid.
Ten city governments from Arizona to Pennsylvania say the president’s political committee has stiffed them out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
They left those buildings unguarded which were perfect spots to target the stage.... that doesn't happen on its own... someone took them off the perimeter...
you are a gullible fool so what you think means nothing to me... its so obvious... Biden just the day before said we need to put Trump in the crosshairs... pay better attention and get you facts straight before you come here...
Biden has used the secret service rules to keep RFK Jr unguarded so what makes you think he didn't have hand in this... the director of the SS is Jill's best friend...
Democrats are not above murder to retain power... never have been...
The outer perimeter was the provenance of local LE with coordination of the SS.
Clearly local LE dropped the ball. A local cop confronted the shooter prior to the shooting and retreated apparently with out sounding the alarm
Was thee also a failure in coordination/ communication? TBD
