CNN Guest Host Claims The Electoral College Is Rooted In Slavery

Illegal immigration is not immoral for one thing, unlike slavery. The vast majority of these people come here for a better life.

But it doesn't matter to me whether or not illegal immigrants are included in the EC.
Of course you dont care because it helps your side.

Not that weak at all. They are closely related.

The Southern delegates at the Constitutional Convention would have walked out if the Northern states didn't give them the extra political power they desired.
The constitution has circuit breakers. Some have been removed. The dollar backed by gold and silver. Federal Senators voted in by citizens instead of State legislatures. The Federal Income Tax instituted. The voting system corrupted and anyone eligible to vote no matter how irresponsible. The mass usage of lower-level radical judges to overturn Executive orders and Legislative legislation. So, the EC is a circuit breaker. And you want to remove it. Makes sense for you.

54 / 3 = 18. You mean California only has 18 times as much political power in Congress...despite having over 60 times as many people.

So a voter in Wyoming has significantly more power than a voter in California. And it's like that in all the sparsely populated red states that only have 3 EC votes.

Yes, California has 52 times the power in the House and the same power in the Senate.
As the Founders intended.

Said the guy who never won 50 percent of the popular vote in THREE elections!

I guess he's right!

Yeah, but he smacked those unpleasant liberal women around, eh?

Why should the Southern states get an EC advantage for participating in something immoral like slavery?
So you don't think slaves should have been counted. Why not?

IMO, it would have been immoral not to count slaves as human beings. The 3/5 decision was a prelude to emancipation.

Slaves were not considered U.S. citizens and they were considered inferior to white people.

That is what was immoral....not the ridiculous gibberish you said.

Never said that, imbecile. I said there was always an immoral component to the EC based on slavery....which is 100% true.

Yeah, you think the Southern States should be punished for giving the slave at least some recognition a humans. Why? Do you just hate the South or something?

Only a racist says something this ridiculous.

she totally ignores the fact that at the time this was passed several northern states had slaves as well

The immorality was treating humans as animals by not giving them at least some recognition as human.

Yes, of course.....not counting slaves in the EC would have been the worst part about slavery.

LOL...what a mentally ill racist!

I never said any of that, stop lying.
Uhhh...you pretty much did. --

The immorality was treating humans as animals by not giving them at least some recognition as human.

What you should have said was that the immorality was forcing them into slavery.

I think if you asked any slave, they would rather have their freedom than be included in the ******* Electoral College.

That "circuit breaker" was never in the Constitution. Stop making shit up.

It must really upset you that we have moved more and more toward universal suffrage. Like allowing women to vote nationwide.

The mass usage of lower-level radical judges to overturn Executive orders and Legislative legislation.
Um...retard?

The Judicial branch IS a circuit breaker expressly designed to trip when abuses of power and violations of the Constitution happen!
