I'd never heard of Donald Sterling before this massive media event. And while I do occasionally watch NBA basketball on tv I have absolutely no interest in the business of the game. But based on what I've read and heard about this "racism" issue I am 100% opposed to all the hell that's been raised against Sterling and the action that's been taken against him -- even though he's so rich it shouldn't even make him blink.BREAKING NEWS: Sterling has been BANNED from the NBA for life, and fined $2.5M, the MAXIMUM amount allowed.
He has the full support of all the other owners he's spoken to.
Oh, and based on their investigation, they've authenticated that it was, in fact, Donald Sterling on the phone.
I am curious to know how the recording was made of what appears to be a private conversation. And I'd like to know what his relationship to that young(er) girl is. Because even though I'm sure he knows Magic Johnson has AIDS he said he doesn't care if she "*****" him. That seems to exclude the likelihood of any romantic aspect in their relationship. So if her social inclinations are so offensive to him, why doesn't he just send her packing? He certainly can afford to replace her with an equally attractive bimbo.
Now that a level of punishment has been imposed on Sterling what effect will that have on the root cause of the controversy, which is his already well-known racist disposition? Will it automatically cause all the White racists in America to change their thinking? I don't think so.
So what purpose has been served by this tempest-in-a-teapot?
Well, those are the curious questions aren't they?
Would it benefit the NBA if Magic Johnson was brought in as an owner for a franchise in the LA market?
It just so happens that this whole thing was about a photo she had taken with several Dodgers, including Magic Johnson who is part owner of that franchise.
All of a sudden a recording is brought forth with a conversation with this....uhhhhh, well classy mistress. Is that what we should call this woman? Classy?
Now, here come the race merchants, and the rest that yell racism all day and all night. They are all over it, arent they? I think Spike Lee still considers himself a victim, even though he attends every Knicks game on the floor (best seats in the house) for nearly 30 years. Of course the rest of them....we know the ones. The victimologists and the liberal media that lives for these moments like packs of hyenas.
It has been publicly known about this guys racism. In this case, he never actually hurt anyone. He said stuff that is very racist in his own house.
The cases where he actually did hurt others like the scumbag slum lord he is, has been very well known. He was fined for those things.
Now, this thing comes out. Keep in mind this thing with Magic Johnson and that connection.
Now the owners are going to take a vote to force him to sell the team. Guess what story just came out on Yahoo and LA Times.
Magic Johnson Reportedly Wants to Buy the Clippers
Magic Johnson ?Wants to Buy? Los Angeles Clippers from Donald Sterling - TIME
In the wake of owner Donald Sterling's comments, NBA insiders tell Yahoo Sports that Magic Johnson is interested in taking over the franchise
Magic Johnson is reportedly eager to purchase the Los Angeles Clippers, as the controversy deepens over an audio recording which purports to show current owner Donald Sterling making racist remarks to his girlfriend.
Yahoo Sports, citing anonymous sources, reported that Johnson and his investment backers the Guggenheim Partners are interested in purchasing the team. Johnson already co-owns the Los Angeles Dodgers with Mark Walter of the Guggenheim Partners. The group also purchased the WNBA team the Los Angeles Sparks in February when it was about to foldpossibly to win themselves favor with the NBA.
This is 100 percent Magics plan, an anonymous league official involved with the buying and selling of franchises told Yahoo Sports.
