So the stores have a lot of drug activity around it, so the city forces them to shut down, instead of putting more police officers in the area.

Cleveland store owners fight shutdown due to neighborhood drug activity

CLEVELAND — Hilda and Sam Husien maintain they are unfairly being held responsible for illegal drug sales in Cleveland's Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood, causing the city and Cuyahoga County Prosecutor to close their business as an alleged nuisance to public safety.

The city and Prosecutor Michael O'Malley moved forward on a restraining order on March 4, temporarily closing American Food Market and boarding up Abe's Beauty Supply next door, both located on Detroit Avenue.

Do I even need to ask if Cleveland is a blue shithole? In which case, burn baby, burn. It's not going to stop until they've destroyed everything.

All places of national chain stores in troubled areas that are Blue must shut down. We the customers in a regional or national way pay for the assaults, the damage to the properties and thefts.

Yet you didn't post the police side of the story. According to them this drug activity has been going on for some time now including drive-thru drug sales on their property. People don't choose a place to make these transactions unless they feel it's a safe place for them to do it. I don't think the police would target these stores by a flip of a coin.

As a local what I can tell you is that the city and investors put a lot of money into that area in an attempt to segregate this kind of activity from the general inner-city. People are paying good money for homes there and expect something in return. Anything south of Detroit road is a shithole and there is no reason drug sales can't take place in a number of places or vacant lots that plague the area. They are choosing these businesses for some reason.

Sounds like the democrats Ukraine policy, do little or nothing cause fighting it could make it worst

That's what it is too. I'm far from any Democrat supporter, but the leadership spent years and money to try and push the lowlifes out of that area. When people complain about open drug sales in their community going on, they expect their representatives to do something about it. There are a lot of brand new homes there that cost big bucks, but it's not an area I would want to live in, so when a small percentage are willing to risk their money by purchasing a home in that community, they expect protection.

Covid shows us that the Left wants society to shut down, crime is just another tool to make that happen.

After all, Covid was an era where the world had the least amount of carbon emissions due to the shut downs.

Sounds like racism, bigotry, and social injustice to me.

So for whatever reason there is a drug problem over there. What would you expect the police (city) to do?
