Here is an example of gun confiscation carried out by the federal government and what happened?

A mass slaughter of the Sioux tribe that included hundreds of women and children Natives after they took the lawfully owned guns from them.

What say you leftist?

I see a lot of blank screen...what's supposed to be there?
A historian talking about the facts regarding the slaughter of Natives after confiscating their firearms.

Wouldn't you know? It was another gun confiscation by a Republican president, Benjamin Harrison 1889-1893.

TikTok, known in China as Douyin (Chinese: 抖音; pinyin: Dǒuyīn), is a video-focused social networking service owned by Chinese company ByteDance.

Why in the world would anyone support tiktok after they released a bioweapon on the world? Thats some kind of :cuckoo:

1968

The Gun Control Act of 1968 is enacted for the purpose of “keeping firearms out of the hands of those not legally entitled to possess them because of age, criminal background, or incompetence.”

The act regulates imported guns, expands the gun-dealer licensing and record-keeping requirements, and places specific limitations on the sale of handguns. The list of persons banned from buying guns is expanded to include persons convicted of any non-business related felony, persons found to be mentally incompetent, and users of illegal drugs.

1972

The federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is created, listing as part of its mission the control of illegal use and sale of firearms and the enforcement of Federal firearms laws. The ATF issues firearms licenses and conducts firearms licensee qualification and compliance inspections.

1986

The Armed Career Criminal Act increases penalties for possession of firearms by persons not qualified to own them under the Gun Control Act of 1986.

The Firearms Owners Protection Act (Public Law 99-308) relaxes some restrictions on gun and ammunition sales and establishes mandatory penalties for use of firearms during the commission of a crime.

The Law Enforcement Officers Protection Act (Public Law 99-408) bans possession of "cop killer" bullets capable of penetrating bulletproof clothing.

1988

President Ronald Reagan signs the Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988, making it illegal to manufacture, import, sell, ship, deliver, possess, transfer, or receive any firearm that is not detectable by walk-through metal detectors. The law prohibited guns from not containing enough metal to trigger security screening machines found in airports, courthouses and other secure areas accessible to the public.

========================

Looks like to me, they don't need NEW GUN LAWS....

They just need to get off their fucking fat asses and ENFORCE THE ONES WE'VE ALREADY GOT!!!!

It's a Chinese spy app.
They've already had a media cover up case, where Huawei was using it to get personal information from those using their phones.....and using tiktok app.

Its a dilemma alright.

Trying to figure out what your title says has me bewildered there, short stack.

Another?

You know of more and you're not saying????
Didn't think I had to mention. It has been mentioned on the board a number of times. The most recent gun confiscation backed up by federalized National Guard troop was using manpower supplied by George W. Bush, in Louisiana after Katrina. It wasn't just confiscation from thugs in downtown New Orleans. It was right into the gated communities, even of the established well to do, in multiple parishes in the area. It almost led to courts-martial of a small number of Guard troops from a state or two that would not participate while on assignment, but to my knowledge, did not. A lot of strange uncivil, civil actions were pushed during that administration. Perhaps you remember extraordinary rendition, where if it is associated with terrorism (including domestic terrorism), a person can be taken and basically disappeared to another unnamed jurisdiction, without court action or charges filed and without the right to filing of Habeas Corpus, as no court actually had jurisdiction. We had the snatching of people off the streets by unmarked troops in unmarked vehicle, in basically black bag operations for short time without charges in a western city, when trump used federal officers from various branches organized as a strike force during the BLM riots, when the military declined or let it be known to him they might decline to fill that niche if instructed. People were literally snatched off the streets with a bag over their head, thrown in a rental van for interrogation or persuasion, sometimes blocks from any protest and than dropped off with no official record of ever being arrested or reason for abductions. Once something is in code, somebody else will use it. Like the weapons confiscation, once done, even outside constitutional bounds, somebody else may and probably will use it. Wiretaps by authorized by a secret court, inroads (possibly backdoors) into private communications/phone companies, all associated with the Patriot act. Heck, we even created a whole branch of government not bound to the constraint of use of our military, called the Department of Homeland Defense. It might not be the military that imposes a gun confiscation next time. Funny how it surprisingly seems to be Republican Administrations that come up with this crap, more times than not.
