I'm sorry to say that I think you're right. No matter what happens, Rightwingers will read the most nefarious motives and intentions behind whatever happens and how it unfolds...
Given that the President of the United States has just broken with sane tradition and endangered future American POWs by his foolishness in negotiating with terrorists, and given that the President is now taking plenty of heat in connection with that stupidity, and given that a sizable percentage of the country sees this President as Unilateral and Arbitrary and bordering on Ruling by Decree, and that many perceive this President as entirely capable of influencing the findings of a Military Justice tribunal, in order to soften that strident and loud and accurate criticism... do you really and truly blame them, for wondering whether the fix is in, to set aside any potential charges against Bergdahl.
...It's a pure unadulterated hatred for this country with anti-American views at the center of how they see the USA...
Nonsense.
It is love of this country, out from under the heel of an Autocrat, that drives such protestations.
You cite the fringe.
It would be equally easy to cite the fringe of the Left, which is oftentimes every bit as (and, sometimes, even more) UN-American as others whom you accuse.
Most people who oppose Obama are solid Americans in mind and heart and spirit.
They don't hate America.
They love America.
They just don't want to see it trashed and hosed by incompetents and freeloaders and those who would force social re-engineering at the point of a gun (with the power of the Federal government behind their re-engineering efforts).
...Hell, even Sarah Palin came right out and said that she delineated between REAL Americans and other citizens who, in her opinion, are not REAL Americans...
Sarah Palin does not represent non-Democrat Party -leaning mainstream America, although Democrats and other Liberals oftentimes delude themselves that this is the case.
...Well, I don't recall any degrees of citizenship with some people having a higher ranking in the citizenship classification than others. It's certainly not a part of the US Constitution they're always saying they revere.
Maudlin, heart-on-the-sleeve, contrived, artificial rant all done with yet?
Give it a rest.
Republicans, and most right-leaning folk, are every bit as solid and loyal Americans as you-and-yours.
