Civilizational collapse: Less than 15% of 30-year-olds are married homeowners

2 incomes is a necessity to survive, to barely hang on. Thats called reality. How do you expect people to have kids when they are barely able to make ends meet?
Wrong, broken record.
The Eweniversity Is Frustration and Castration

Little Mamas' Boys sucking their thumbs in college because they're afraid to grow up are also afraid to have children, even though their unjust reward of a high income enables them to do so without being financially burdened.

Because of the incompetence of this managerial clique, workers under them have to settle for such low wages that having children would be too much of a financial burden.
broken record...

How much you need is all a matter of how much you spend, versus how much you earn, and what you're willing to invest your money into.

Most people, even if they aren't wealthy, live well above the "survival level". Other than a homeless begger, no one lives at the "survival" level, and even most "poor people" in America don't live like that. That's because people primarily prioritize higher needs on Maslow's hierarchy.

Cool straw man, but not terribly cohesive. The topic here isn't socialism, it's economic inequality

Given the fact that socialism is persistently proffered as the FINAL SOLUTION to "economic inequality" - I'd say you're ******* wrong.

Again.

This has nothing to do with communism and everything to do with wealth inequality.

You tRumplings will have us all renting from the company, working for the company, and shopping at the company store soon.

Says the guy who supported the Administration that SHUT DOWN MOM AND POPS while letting the massive corporate stores stay open during COVID.

Find your chair.

And take a ******* seat.

And stay there for a while as you ponder your political choices.

Spot on, dude.

They SAY they are all about the little guy. The truth of the matter is that they engineered the greatest transfer of wealth from the middle class to the super elites in our nation's history. Jeff Bezos, alone, made tens of billions of dollars from the scheme.

It Isn't....and that's the point.
You will buy the better quality product. Which is usually the domestic product versus the imported product. And when you don't you get to pay a portion of the tariffs. (A form of sales tax applied to all imported goods)

But the domestic tool manufacturer is protected and secure from the predator using essentially slave labor.

Slave labor is disgusting. It doesn't matter if it's domestic slave labor or foreign. And that's why we don't need domestic wages to reflect foreign slave labor wages....we need the slave labor to no longer be profitable by enslaving people.

Working 12 hr days, 7 days a week for a night in a hovel along with a bowl of rice and beans....that's what happens often outside of America and that also is where we are heading rapidly.
Slavery ended in 1865.

Civilizational collapse: Less than 15% of 30-year-olds are married homeowners

In 1990 it was 45%.

The communist wet dream of owning NOTHING is coming to fruition in the US.

To the Federal Reserve's credit, they are artificially elevating interest rates to continue this trend.

Well done comrades.

We should all learn to speak Chinese.

We should all learn to speak Chinese anyway, it's a beautiful language.

I would like to see a breakdown of those numbers.

How many are unmarried homeowners?

How many are married, but don't own a home.

In some ways, Trump has contributed to making home ownership less attractive. I used to be able to deduct my mortgage and property taxes on Schedule A, but now it's barely worth the trouble.

We do have a housing crisis in this country, but that has more to do with the fact that available homes are being scooped up by investment groups.

The Condo I owned from 2004 to 2021 was recently deconverted from Condo to Rentals

Hoping the GOP can hold on to the power long enough to start turning things around. The government should make it attractive and financially feasible to marry again. Major welfare reform will go a long way toward accomplishing that.

Works on the racist assumption people aren't getting married because of "Welfare".

People aren't getting married because there's no upside in it that you can't get without living together.

We need to push old fashioned Christian morality again. Get married before you have kids. Be responsible and accountable in taking care of yourself, your family, your kids.

You will follow our sky pixie if you want to or not!!!

Restoring prosperity for all and making it attractive to own your own home again, making that affordable again, will strengthen communities and America overall in a way the welfare mentality never can.

Um, sure. You should probably talk to the one percenters who really run your party. They aren't looking to give the working class any more money. They hated the Biden years because people could quit and get paid better, and they are yanking that back now that unemployment is creeping up.

If President Trump, the GOP, Patriots/MAGAs can make America normal again, everybody benefits.

Right... this is the new "Normal" according to you guys.

Neither party has done anything to fight this, that is true, but more so the Left as they implement policies driving up the costs of everything else across the world.

For example, the global response to Covid was horrible, which is why there is global inflation like it is, yet they refuse to take ownership if it.

Instead, they will take ownership of your home instead.

Meanwhile, the Climate cult will continue to wage war against fossil fuels and fertilizers to grow food that emit carbon all in the name of saving the planet. The problem is, this will drive up both fuel and food prices to boot, making home ownership that much more impossible.

And yes, the Left is the heart and soul of this crap'

Thanks for playing.
Lots of good & bad ideas,
Yet some how keeping the planet habitable for those who come after us
Seems a good idea.

Add to that

1) t takes 2 full time workers to make ends meet. That means people are tired. Wages arent going to rise enough to change this. All thats going to happen is people will be asked to work more. So thats not going to help.

2) Nearly half of all marriages dont make it with the younger one gets married the higher the chance for failure. How do we stop this? Great question.

3) The cost of most things isnt going to come down. Health insurance, vehicles, phones, food, clothes, housing or rent, You name it.

4) Many jobs provide very little maternity and paternity leave. Therefore daycare is a must. Thats not cheap. Some pay over a thousand per month. Combine that with #3 above. Where does the money to pay this come from?

5) oh wait...theres a crib, diapers, formula, dr visits. $$$

6) Many households have both spouses working full time plus another part time job to help. More daycare on weekends?

The list could go on. If we are going to ask young people to have kids as a nationwe had better figure out the above.

All the trillions and trillions already spent to 'fight climate change', all the laws, rules, regulations, restrictions, mandates etc. etc. etc. have no made one whit's difference in the climate but have burdened the people and taken away their choices, options, liberties, opportunities.

The best way to fight climate change is to encourage prosperity among the people. The more prosperous they are, they more they demand and require clean water, air, soil and beauty in the our environment. When they aren't concerned about how to feed their families they have the luxury to care more about the plant and animal life all over Planet Earth.

And what monies and energies we spend re the climate should be to help humankind to adapt constructively and profitably to inevitable climate change.

To encourage prosperity among the people includes first and foremost encouraging the traditional family; encouraging people to become married homeowners.

Because you have ZERO rebuttal....
Except for the very direct rebuttal that it has gotten worse under every president for over 40 years. That you ignored to have a childish fit.

See? You're just no longer mentally capable of having a normal discussion. Your cultism has turned your brains to diarrhea.

"Encouraging" isnt going to help one iota. We need to promote building up a big nest egg before marriage. Take a good chunk of years to do that.

Wage slavery is still slavery. Just because there are no physical chains put on someone doesn't mean they aren't there.

If you take a poor person and offer them money for prostituting themselves....chances are because they are poor they will agree. No different from a slave master forcing themselves upon a female slave....

Just because a limited amount of freedom exists for what they spend their money on versus getting what the masters house cooks for them doesn't change the situation. They either show up to work or starve.

I've made zero bones about who has been responsible for the situation.

You have been completely dishonest.
I've laid the blame squarely upon Congress and the courts. (President is not relevant)

We are still shopping at the "company store" listening to the company media/newspaper. The environment has not changed....only the size of the slave's yard of where they are allowed to go.

I do see the ultra rich investing in space travel, and building survival multi million dollar under ground survival homes.
Wonder what they think is going to happen? Neither major political party has All the right answers.
And looking to either one of them to Fix it ALL is insane wishful thinking.
