LOL I have a few of those too and don't need SS But why not take it ?I'm retired for 10 years and get no free stuff or ever have unless you count SS and medi care being free stuff. I drink the best scotch go to the best restaurants and spend my winters in my condo in Florida My kids if they felt like it would never need to work another day when I'm gone although I brought them up better than that Now please stop your bs about crying and free stuffSo what's with all the hissyfitting and crying? You'll most likely continue to get your free stuff initially, but at some point you may have to find a job.Meat let me explain again ,,I have a few bucks and have no need to sweat out anything AND I'll have many more bucks if this market keeps up BUT I'd rather have a sane president in office that's not a complete AH who would be good for the entire country even your rednecks
Yes, SS and Medicare are free stuff. Are you paying for it? No. Working people are.
And don't sit there and claim you paid for it by paying into SS all those years. If you are only getting what you paid for, then if we all refuse to pay it, you should still get it... right?
If everyone stops paying for my food, I'll still have food. Why? Because when I go to the store, I pay for my food with my money. So everyone can refuse to pay for my food, and I still have it.
The very instant... the very second.... all of us refuse to pay for your SS and Medicare.... you won't have either.
If you were paying for it, it would be impossible for us to prevent you from getting it. If working people all across this country woke up tomorrow and refused to pay for SS and Medicare, you and everyone else would all instantly lose both.
You say that can't happen? Yeah look at Greece. The working people refused to pay the taxes, and the entire country imploded. No health care... no pensions.... all the retired people found themselves working again, or starving to death. Socialism always fails. SS and Medicare are socialized programs. They will fail some day. Hopefully you'll die off before it happens, so you don't suffer when it comes.
My parents are millionaires. When SS and Medicare implode... they'll be fine.
If the future president is a thief and steals from the common man why shouldn't I get what I put in?
I wouldn't blame you for doing. I'll take from the government whatever I can get. I'll take from you, whatever I can get.
If you are dumb enough to give me thousands of dollars, I'll take every dollar. Why not?
But don't be foolish, and believe the mythology that you are getting what you put in. You are not getting what you put in. You are getting what is stolen from working people like me.
I have a 401K. I trust you understand what that is. When I get money out of my 401K, I am getting out of that investment, the money I put into the investment.
Social Security is not like that. Your money that you paid into Social Security, was not invested. It was given out to those who were retired, while you worked. Your money was spent... and it's gone. There is no "investment". There is no "retirement fund". There isn't, and never was.
The money you are getting now, is coming from the poor working people of this country, and the burden gets a bit heavier every decade.
Eventually, the working people will shake off the weight of this load, and the people who are dependent on this failed system will end up impoverish and hopeless. That's the end result of every socialized system.
How much value did your 401k lose in 2008?
How much value did a social security payment lose in 2008?
