It also shows the CIA thought it was a protest over that video for 2 weeks. She also indicated it was a planned attack by an al-Qaida-like group when she was communicating with the President of Libya the next day. The Committee found intelligence to support CIA's initial assessment that the attacks had evolved out of a protest in Benghazi; but it also found contrary intelligence, which ultimately proved to be the correct intelligence.​
