Eagles Fire Chip Kelly - Birds 24/7
He took a good team and dismantled it.
I guarantee it wont be long before he gets a new head coaching job.I wish my 2016 LOS ANGELES Rams would take him.I would take him in a heartbeat over that worthless Jeff Fisher.
Good team? is that why they were pitiful the last couple years under Andy Reid?
Chip Kelly failed in philly same as Reid did the last couple years or so he was there is because just like Reid,he had nothing to work with in Philly.
when you continually have a quarterback year in and year out who isnt worth a shit,it doesnt matter who the coach is,the team is not going to be very good.
the same thing that did in Andy Reid is what did in Chip Kelly.Look at all the worthless quarterbacks that were forced on kelly that he had to work with..
1.scumbag failure Michael Vick.
He became worthless after spending two years in prison.Had he gone back to college ball then he would have been a big success no doubt but he lost his way to playing at a high level that is required in the NFL getting rusty.
2.Mark Sanchez? seriously? I cant believe this guy is still even in the NFL even as a backup.
3.Nick Foles?
seriously? the guy that got benched in stank louis for his poor play?
please, this is the hand Kelly was dealt with to have to work with? that again is the same reason why Reid was run out of Philly was because the coach is the one who is ALWAYS put on the chopping block and gets the blame for the team when the quarterback is the problem, not the coach.
That was why I always thought it was very unfair in NE for Pete Carrol back then when he got fired for the poor performance of Drew Bledsoe screwing up and costing the patriots games all the time.
I always knew that he was a good coach and if he was just given a good quarterback to work with,he would be successul in the NFL as he has proven in seattle.
the first season that Bill Belicheat was with the cheatriots,Bledsoe was his starting QB and he failed as miserably as carrol did with him.
Had Carrol been allowed to stay and had Brady for his quarterback,Carrol would be the one ESPN and everyone would now be calling the greatest coach ever now instead.
Then there is of course the case of the Chicago Bears.
I made a thread about that sometime back that Cutler is a coach killer.Notice how that idiot owner fires the coachs all the time year in and year out when it is clearly the play of Cutler that is killing them not the coachs?
I mentioned this on another thread a few weeks ago matter of fact that I dont care if the Bears hired Bill Parcells who is the greatest MODERN day coach in the NFL.Even he would fail miserably in chicago if thats what he was given to work with for his quarterback.
Getting back to the Eagles,I said before the season began both teams were going to be worse off than they were before.Foles has always been a joke and is obviously not going to succeed in the NFL and neither is Bradford is so injury prone that that has got to be the worst trade i have seen in a long time since neither team benefitted from it.
thank god the Rams got Keenum now because he shows promise for the Rams going into next season.I just wish Rams management would get smart and hire a good coach like Kelly who could do something with a good quarterback like him. I'll gladly take Kelly at the drop of a dime over jeff fisher.
the fact that Kelly never once had a quarterback to work with his entire time in Philly is hardly taking a good team and dismanteling it.
You got to have a good quarterback to build around before you can have a good team. as long as the Eagles continue to do the same thing that arrogant owner in chicago does, blame the coach for the teams quarterback failures and him costing the team games, keeping Bradford as the quarterback, same thing will happen to the next coach in philly that happens in chicago year in and year out.
they will blame the next coach for the crappy play of the quarterback and fire the wrong person.firing the coach because of the incompetent play of the quarterback he has been forced to deal with when the QB is the problem, not the coach.
