It is an assumed risk when you require backdoor access for your spying and warrants that those can be exploited against you.

China also has it's people deeply embedded into every American institution including the military top brass.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if China possesses the US nuclear football codes.
China has already gutted our strategic oil reserves, our ammunition supplies and the armed forces.
It's so easy to see what's happening if you can think that is.

I have no doubt that the Biden administration will condemn this action in the strongest possible language. Then, when it happens again they will condemn it in the strongest possible language. Then, when it happens again they will condemn it in the strongest possible language.
