Yesterday, I watched the VIctory Day parade on TV. My wife wanted to see it. It was billed as China's biggest military parade ever,

Some of my thoughts.

Comparing and contrasting with Trump's Birthday Parade, this was quite impressive. While the US had barely engaged troops shuffling past empty stands while trolling Trump with "Fortunate Son", these troops looked sharp, their actions were coordinated, and they certainly seemed motivated. The stands included surviving veterans of WWII, and dignitaries from around the world, including Putin and Kim Jong-Um

The military equipment on display. Some of it looked quite advanced, while others looked kind of primitive.

Now, I realize that any parade is propaganda, and China's military has problems from rampant corruption to missiles not being mission capable because their crews drain the fuel to heat their hot-pots.

Here's the thing, Spanky, China has been a great power and center of civilization since ancient times. Dynasties rise and fall, but the Chinese people endure.

To blame "Globalists" for China's rise is a bit silly. China is rising because the Chinese are hardworking, and Americans are lazy.

While we elect a clown like Trump, they select Xi to lead them, and that guy is as serious as a heart attack.

Have you no shame, sir? The globalists sent America's manufacturing base to China. They have impoverished the working class and enriched themselves and the Chinese.

Walmart was one of the first corporations to import huge amounts of cheap Chinese goods. Hillary Clinton was on the board of Walmart. Did you know that?

American politicians from Bill Clinton to Joe Biden have been selling out the American people to the CCP for decades. It's shameful and treasonous.

OH, I see, it was the "Globalists". Now, you see, I thought it was all those fat-asses going through Walmart buying goods that say, "Made in China" on them. You know, riding a rascal and wearing a MAGA hat, which was also made in China.

Except this funny thing. All those "Chinese Goods" are still American brands. Which means AMERICAN corporations decided that moving a factory to China was a good idea.

Is Trump a "Globalist"?

His cheap ass watches - Made in China.

Or we could just buy American and solve the problem.

I remember when my brother bought one of the last brands of TV's manufactured in the US. The thing had a malfunction on the remote that blocked out the screen with the channel number, which remained locked in place.

THere was a time when WE were the world's manufacturing powerhouse, but we forgot how to do that. The Japanese and now the Chinese passed us up.

Try finding goods not made in China. Good luck.

Yes, the Chinese military parades nicely. They get a trophy!

Actually, the guy who opened Trade with China was Nixon.

Not really. From Google AI:

President Bill Clinton signed the U.S.–China Relations Act of 2000 into law, which granted permanent normal trade relations (PNTR) to China when it joined the World Trade Organization (WTO). This legislation, also known as the China Trade bill, removed the requirement for annual congressional review of China's trade status and established measures related to human rights, forced labor, and anti-dumping duties to address concerns about Chinese imports.

Saw clips of it, very short. What I saw was stupendous!

Trump won't go for it. Trump must have the biggest and best military parade in history.

Dodging now? The answer to my question is Bill Clinton.

No, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush, baby Bush all contributed to increasing trade with China,

Not really. From Google AI:

First, if you are going to use AI to do your thinking for you, you shouldn't be doing this.

Secondly, China had "Normal Trade Relations" and even "Most Favored" status before Clinton got there.

Finally, trade isn't a zero sum game. They get money, we get the value of the products we buy.
