Again that's true, but there's more to it. China (like Russia) is very aware that the West uses Islam as a weapon against other nations. You seem to express sympathy for these Uyghur Muslims yet in other posts you'll equate Muslims to insects or rodents.

I find that odd, surely Chinese treatment of Uyghurs is no worse than Israel's treatment of Palestinians? its probably a lot better.

The U.S. has only one active base in Greenland: The Pituffik Space Base (formerly Thule air base). There were more based during WWII (Sondrestrom and Narsaruaq) some radar sites and military facilities. All were closed down except for the current Space base at Pituffik.

The idea is to expand U.S. presences there as protection against aggression from China and Russia. Trump mentioned a 'Golden Dome' defensive system and satellite tracking, etc.
