China is the loser in trade war

Why do you praise foreigners owning companies in America instead of Americans owning companies in America ???

Hey we should be controlling 99.9% of the manufacturing in our own country. Now if trade with China or other's threatens our national security, and it forces us to keep America strong against that by way of building most of our own stuff here by Americans again then so be it.

We can trade with the world for goods not produced here sure, and they can do the same, but when it comes to essential goods and services then we need to control every bit of that per Americans on our own American soil.

Just as the Democrats have purposely sewn dependency into the American condition, it is that they've taken it to the next level by causing America as a country to become reliant on foreign nation's for essential goods and services. What a disaster it has all been. No one has won except for the wealthy in this country. They've fooled us all.
Why do we praise Asian or Muslim men who go into the hoods in America and open up party stores or grocery stores? Because no black is going to do it. Any successful black is going to get the **** out. But the party store owner from another country is going to make a success of that business.

Because the American companies I've worked for have been owned by some real shitheads, compared to the two foreign owned companies, who were run by pretty decent guys.

Sorry, buddy, not the way the game is played anymore. I currently work for a company that manufactures systems. Many of our key components are made overseas. I had a recent project where they INSISTED that all the Stainless steel components HAD to be certified as made in the US. These components were costly and difficult to source. Why? Because the whole trade in Stainless steel is complex. Even if something is forged in the US, the steel often comes from other sources. We eventually had to get them to agree to only steel from G-7 countries, and finally just to steel made anywhere but India and China (where there are some quality issues.)

The long and short of it is that we are not sourcing things in the US. More often than not, we are paying the tariffs and experiencing delays.

You're living in a fantasy land, guy. Tariffs didn't work 90 years ago, they don't work now. SCOTUS is about to ***** slap Trump on his tariffs, because even these lickspittles know it's a bad idea.

Um, okay, now you guys are concerned about the wealthy winning? Where were you the last 40 years when they were dismantling unions and undermining worker's rights with "At Will" employment and "Right to Work"?
No it's more like where were you, and who's team were you on should be the question ??

It's the only one's undoubtedly that the blacks will allow to operate within their communities/hoods.

The only team I am on is my own, which includes me and the Mrs.

Trump's tariffs are hurting American businesses and farmers and consumers.

I know every day, I'm having to calculate the tariffs into a report so my boss can determine how much we are going to end up eating vs. how much we can pass on to our customers. This means less money to pay employees or invest in new equipment (both of which we could probably use.)

If you are lucky enough to still have a job after the Second Trump Recession, you aren't going to see a very good raise next year.

But man, Trump really stuck it to those Chinamen, didn't he? Oh, wait, no, he caved.

I keep telling them I sell one thing from the uk. Ten percent tariff. No way that cost isn’t going to end up in the price of the products my customers make. It’s coming.

These blue collar maga think running illegals out and bringing manufacturing home is going to fix their wage problems. It’s not. It’s trumps con. Give him three years you’ll see America will be great again

It gets worse.

My company works on projects that we've quoted to customers, sometimes a year or more ago. All of our price calculations were done based on last year's prices, with maybe some allowance for inflation. No one counted on key components being subject to a 40% tariff. We really can't go back to the customer and say, "Hey, this project is going to cost you $5000 more than we initially calculated."

Eventually, companies are going to try to make that money back somewhere, and the path of least resisitance is usually- wait for it - cutting staff.

Let me show you 2 random things I sell

One thing was $25K. Now it's $27,600

One thing was $1114. It's now $1225

But Trump and MAGA say prices are coming down? No ******* way. Impossible.

I heard Trump's team is telling him to stop saying prices are down not up. People are not that stupid. Although my brother tried that shit on me last weekend. I just stopped talking. I didn't want to get into an argument by calling him a liar or idiot. He said "I just bought a dozen eggs for $3.45 cents!!!"he said. LOL. Okay bro. I guess that settles it. Prices are down.

And then of course the rich mother ****** followed that with "and the stock market is up".

I didn't remind him it was up under Biden too but that wasn't enough for them last year. Last year saying that was elitist. This year if we say it's elitist they ask "why, don't you have a 401K?" LOL. It's so funny how their arguments completely change depending on who's in the White House. When it's a Democrat nothing is ever enough.

Your post steadily shows how you and your companies were relying on short term gains in an unbalanced system that plays games at the nation's long term expense. Preparing the nation for it's future and promoting fairness in world trade is the only way forward if the nation is going to survive as a nation.

Trade seems pretty fair to me. America is the richest country in the world. We have the most billionaires and millionaires. Everything that's happening right now, will benefit them. There will be some losers too. Like we are all losing right now. And in the end, when all the companies come back home, you still won't be making your fair share. And the rich American billionaires will be even richer.

It's not an unbalanced system. Do you have a trade imbalance with your barber? Every month you spend money in his store and he never spends any money with you. But yet somehow it works right?

I'm not saying China is perfect and there aren't some things that we should be fixing or making right. But a wise person would take a scalpel to NAFTA not a hatchet.
