China is the loser in trade war

Buddy, you think rich people are ever held accountable?

If you want to start holding people accountable for using cheap labor, you can start with your boy Trump.

Your MAGA hat was made in China.
Many wealthy people got on board the trend because it was being normalized by our government in order for it to take place. TRUMP was a businessman that had to take advantage of the opportunities presented to him by this country to make money for him and his investor's or bank's that loaned money to him. He like all businessmen were beholding to investor's and bank's that expected returns on their investments or loan pay backs by having him use the tools being added to the tool box efficiently and on target.

We have to go back to where it all began, and evaluate who the true culprits are that sold this nation out be it from within our government that was working with corporate CEOs in a joint plan to fundamentally transform this nation into a consumer driven nation for cheap goods, along with it's lack of security that brought down the twin towers has since created what we have now experienced afterwards or ever since.

Trump was just a business man prior to 2016, and he had no power to affect or determin foreign policy and trade deals in government as a civilian, other than him just using the legal tools offered him to make money as a business man in America.

Like he once said, "hey if you don't like the way business and taxes are dealt with or used in America then change the damned laws already".

Now getting after the snakes that decided to sell us out to foreign communist governments for the purpose of trade deals that would make them filthy rich yet kill this country's manufacturing sectors all because of, uhhh is what should be pursued by the American people with the backing of a government that now has their ear.

Right, it's okay when Trump does it.

Actually, what made that happen was every white trash waddling through WalMart picking the cheap Chinese product over the pricier American product.

Again, you work on a lot of delusions. Process improvement and automation killed more manufacturing jobs than outsourcing did.

Sorry white people are so offensive to you. Gotta wonder who is posting this racist garbage.

You blaming the consumer was out right disgusting, but you'll say anything to protect your new home away from home China.

Your time line on trying to implicate Trump as the outsourcing culprit of the times won't hold up in a court of law, because he's not the culprit in a line up of the real culprits being ignored by you.

Trump has been buying his products from China for decades.

Here's the problem with trade deficits.

I have a trade deficit with my barber. I give her money, she never buys anything from me.

But I get the value of her product - my hair looks nice and presentable.

Same thing with China. They get our money, we get products we can actually afford.

The problem you keep having is that we have a long history in this country of not having to rely on globalism, and especially in the manor in which we have been corruptly lead into this (heavy dependency), by the culprits of the 1980s where it all got started.

So you have accepted the new corruption that had long since sold us down the river without a paddle eh ??
Funny how you defend it all, but then try to bash Trump for being a global businessman ever since he and thousands more like him were led to the poisonous watering holes of global trade with foreign countries that are enemies to their own people.

Your deflection to Trump won't suffice in hiding what we all know about what off balanced global trade for the greedy has since done to this nation along with our strength and prosperity over time.

The propaganda machine being built with AI won't fool us or the world either. It might be hoped for that it can fool the world, but the joke will be on us instead.

The lessons being learned in the two nation's using modern warfare to fight and adapt too the thing's being experienced on the battlefield by both nations, is also teaching the world's militaries bad and good the same strategies and tactics, along with the abilities to adaptat in order to overcome innovation and tactics used upon the battle fields.

These thing's will come back to haunt world power's in a very difficult way in the future, otherwise once the fighting, warfare, and strategy lessons are learned on what worked and what didn't work.

China is probably studying that warfare in a very attentive way, and is doing so if it decides to overtake Taiwan in the future, otherwise it would do so by way of using some of what it is seeing on that battlefield for what it finds could also work for the military strategy of China.

So much destruction of a country and lessons of warfare being learned over one man that stands hand in hand with the west as the leader of Ukraine, and maybe doing so not for cultural reasons on his part, but for military assistance reasoning mainly..... Zelensky unfortunately is being seen by Russia as a huge security threat because of proximity issue's and other hardened reasons within that region.

The war must be stopped for global security reasons. Business negotiations aren't applicable in the situation. An attentive ear to what the true reasoning of the entire war is about must be given, and then studied by world powers before a solution can be formulated to get both side's to the table in hopes to stop the killing in Ukraine and Russia.

I think you are a tad confused on "History", guy. America has always been dependent on trade. One of the main reasons for the Civil War was that the South traded cotton with Europe.

Starting in 1917 or so, the US became a creditor nation- i.e. - thanks to munitions we were selling the Allies in WWI, we had to let them buy them on credit, and then we got involved in the war ourselves to make sure they didn't default. The US remained a creditor nation up until 1976, which is when we started buying more from the rest of the world than we were selling it.

So the problem was never "globalism", it's that the Chinese are beating us at our own game.

Naw, guy, I just get bored with Trump's hypocrisy, because he bashes foreign trade all day, but his cheap clothing, his MAGA hats, his fake Bibles, and even his cheap gold watches- all made in China.

AI is a totally different topic.

Ok, so you basically are saying that dependency on globalism has been forced on us by various factors involved, and in each case we have had to sacrifice heavily as a nation over the ventures we had been dragged into by who in this nation over time looking back ???
Our super dependency didn't start until around the mid 1980s with the current situation that has destroyed our manufacturing sectors and displaced millions of our citizen's because of. Looking back on it all I ask, who truly has won or prospered in it all ???? AMERICA DAMNED SURE HASN'T.

We are simply a shell of what we were in the 1950s after our world war two victory. MAGA is all about bringing back our strength and prosperity, but the Democrats might have broken this nation so bad that the struggle out of it all might never relent.

I'm saying Americans were oh-so-fine with globalism when we were the ones bringing in vast amounts of cash over it.

The reason why our manufacturing jobs (not actually the sector, we are still the world's second largest manufacturer) have disappeared is not only because of trade, but also because of automation and process improvement. It's not that we are producing less than we did in the 1950s, but that we are producing it more efficiently with fewer people.

A person from the 1950's would be shocked if you dropped him into a WalMart today.

MAGA is about playing on our resentments, it's not about finding solutions.

Remember those Furnace jobs in Indiana Trump supposedly saved? Nope, they all ended up going to Mexico anyway.

Regardless of it all our government has been found derelict of it's duty to work for the well being and prosperity of the American citizens. Globalism in the form that it has taken, has since turned the American worker into a commodity that can be discarded and displaced without so much as a decent notice of the shifting tides when they abruptly change. That is unacceptable when it comes to government obeying the constitution on behalf of the American people.

Except that kind of economic nationalism never works.

You want the Government to work for jobs that Americans really don't want to do.

I've worked in six manufacturing operations during my storied career, usually in the procurement and logistics end of things.

What I've almost never seen on the manufacturing floor is the white, male worker you seem so concerned about.

The first one was a medical manufacturer. Most of their employees were Indian women. They threw a killer Diwali party every year.
The Second one I was so removed from the floor, I had no idea who was working on it, but the third one was an electronics manufacturer. Mixture of Indian, Polish, and Hispanic workers, mostly female. The manager decided he wanted to take a survey on languages spoken in the plant, and he came up with 19 total.

The next few- primarily Hispanic and Polish workers.

You try your best to steer clear of supporting the American people/worker because you are a brainwashed globalist.

No, I'm a realist. We live in a global economy. Protectionism wasn't a good idea 90 years ago and it isn't one today.

If we want to succeed in the global economy, we need to look at what China is doing right instead of continuing to do what we are doing wrong.

Like I said, you are "brainwashed". Pathetic !!!

This makes you anti-American in the overall scheme of things.

Nope. I just don't pretend that my interest and the business interests are the same.

Going back to my aforementioned career, of the companies I worked for, one was British-owned, and another was Japanese-owned. I'd probably rate those as the better companies I worked for.

It's a global game, and we'd better figure out how to play it.

The U.S. needs to audit the Democrat party the same way the military investigates drug cartels minus the military action against them, but the sofistication in the auditing operation should be conducted in the same way.

Biden getting away with covering for Hunter, and running shell companies etc should have caused him to be locked up by now. Pelosi's alledged insider information schemes should have had her locked up by now.

It's hard to see us acting so law enforcement oriented, yet we allow our own government officials to make a mockery of our law enforcement operations.

Again you express your anti-American sentiment by praising foreign ownership over American ownership at the companies you've worked for.

I know,,,,,, so why don't you fight for America instead of working against her in everything you say or do ? If something needs fixed in America, then try to help fix it or do you think that America is a lost cause, and therefore that is why you jumped ship year's ago ???

Okay, here's the thing. these foreign based companies opened plants in America and provided American jobs for the American market. Wow, what a bunch of bastards!!!

If America thinks Trump is presidential material, then it probably is a lost cause.

Hey we should be controlling 99.9% of the manufacturing in our own country. Now if trade with China or other's threatens our national security, and it forces us to keep America strong against that by way of building most of our own stuff here by Americans again then so be it.

We can trade with the world for goods not produced here sure, and they can do the same, but when it comes to essential goods and services then we need to control every bit of that per Americans on our own American soil.

Just as the Democrats have purposely sewn dependency into the American condition, it is that they've taken it to the next level by causing America as a country to become reliant on foreign nation's for essential goods and services. What a disaster it has all been. No one has won except for the wealthy in this country. They've fooled us all.

Because the American companies I've worked for have been owned by some real shitheads, compared to the two foreign owned companies, who were run by pretty decent guys.

Sorry, buddy, not the way the game is played anymore. I currently work for a company that manufactures systems. Many of our key components are made overseas. I had a recent project where they INSISTED that all the Stainless steel components HAD to be certified as made in the US. These components were costly and difficult to source. Why? Because the whole trade in Stainless steel is complex. Even if something is forged in the US, the steel often comes from other sources. We eventually had to get them to agree to only steel from G-7 countries, and finally just to steel made anywhere but India and China (where there are some quality issues.)

The long and short of it is that we are not sourcing things in the US. More often than not, we are paying the tariffs and experiencing delays.

We can trade with the world for goods not produced here sure, and they can do the same, but when it comes to essential goods and services then we need to control every bit of that per Americans on our own American soil.

You're living in a fantasy land, guy. Tariffs didn't work 90 years ago, they don't work now. SCOTUS is about to ***** slap Trump on his tariffs, because even these lickspittles know it's a bad idea.

Just as the Democrats have purposely sewn dependency into the American condition, it is that they've taken it to the next level by causing America as a country to become reliant on foreign nation's for essential goods and services. Um, okay, now you guys are concerned about the wealthy winning? Where were you the last 40 years when they were dismantling unions and undermining worker's rights with "At Will" employment and "Right to Work"?

I asked my MAGA brother. What about the jobs market? It's horrible right now. Under Biden jobs were plentiful. If you didn't like your job it was easy to go find another one.

His response was "that's not normal. This is normal"

Yea, and this job market is better for employers. Fewer options for labor, the better it is for employers to be assholes and pay us less. People who aren't confident in the job market stay put and don't ask for raises.
