I don't think Trump is the more militaristic of the two. He is certainly of the two men less likely to cave in to China and least naturally disposed to kiss Xi Jinping's ass like Biden has done repeatedly. Maybe he's just grateful for the swell job his son was given at the Bank of China.

But that doesn't translate into military solutions necessarily. Trump is adverse to such things and would much more likely hit back at China with economic sanctions.
I think it's one of Trump's really good qualities that doesn't get much praise.
