China halts export of rare earthes

The question is at what cost. That's a question that never seems to be asked.
Some believe the answer is the corporations don't have a personal cost. They can promise the moon as far as investment, do absolutely dogshit, fuck over the country, and there are (usually) no criminal repercussions. Financial perhaps, then move on. Idiot magaturds consider this a win. cough (CULT) cough

They don't seem to realize that all our major 'American' companies are already globalists, have only one side they support (theirs), only care about the working class enough so they continue buying their shit, so what do they really have to lose? :dunno: We voted for oligarchy and unrestrained capitalism. People can try to explain it away all they want, but that's the truth.

What would be the point? Trump is completely untrustworthy, making up the most dipshit excuses imaginable to levy tariffs on a whim.

Trump's rationale for the Canadian tariff? Fentanyl. That Canada isn't doing enough to stop massive amounts from flowing over the border to harm Americans.

The 'massive amount'? 23 pounds this year. 23 fucking pounds. And we've torched our relationship with our number one trading partner.

“The old relationship we had with the United States based on deepening integration of our economies and tight security and military cooperation is over,” he said.

“It’s clear the US is no longer a reliable partner. It is possible that with comprehensive negotiations, we could reestablish an element of confidence but there will be no going backwards,” the Canadian leader said, adding that future governments would have to grapple with the same changed dynamic.

And they're our closest ally! China sees how Trump will punish his friends on any pretense. Why would they ever trust anything that came out of his mouth? The man lies like he breathes, changes his mind on a whim, and regularly throws tantrums.

China is instead doing a charm offense across eastern Asia and making trade deals with Vietnam and even negotiating with Japan......while Trump isolates the US from the world for no good goddamn reason.
You point out a real problem for the US. While Trump is trying to make deals that will reduce the trade deficit with many small countries. China is offering them limited access to their markets. Unlike the US who fighting to up open up China to American big business, these smaller countries are just trying sell their products which don't represent any real competition to Chinese businesses.

This is why it is only practical to mine these elements in large open pit mines where there are very large deposits.

Obviously then:
  1. We exploit every source out there from Australia to Greenland.
  2. We fast track the building of mining facilities.
  3. We cut China off from importing or exporting any of them.
  4. We fly a few balloons over China and destroy their own mining facilities.
Time to stop playing nice guy with China. Time to go for their throat and take China out. They are good for nothing, not even cheap labor anymore. Trump should now put up a 500% tariff effectively blocking all exporting of Chinese goods to the USA.

Some can be extracted from coal ash. I read somewhere Trump is planning to also start an initiative to get them from the deep sea bed the way China has been doing. It is a policy change as it requires basically the US agree to be part of an international agreement it has been avoiding joining basically treating the seas as a commons.
It can and is being extracted from various mining operations as a minor byproduct. The problem is the amount is so small and the actually rare elements being extracted are not necessarily very profitable.

How do you suggest we take them out.

We'll see. They may end up finding proven reserves somewhere at which point the price craters. It is still relatively early in the exploration for them.

Let me try to make this as simple as I can.

I agree with him on several general issues.

I disagree with him strongly on the way he deals with them.

I know I just wasted my time typing these sentences. Think what you will.
Now that's just commie logic. Real patriots ™ will deflect it like water off a duck's back.

A "subtle narcissist," also known as a covert narcissist, is someone who displays narcissistic traits but in a more hidden or passive way than overt narcissists. Instead of overt displays of arrogance or entitlement, subtle narcissists may use manipulation, guilt-tripping, and other indirect tactics to achieve their goals.

Key characteristics of subtle narcissists:
  • Manipulation: They may use guilt, pity, or emotional manipulation to gain control over others.

  • Passive-aggressiveness: They may express anger or resentment indirectly, rather than directly confronting someone.

    • Lack of empathy: They struggle to understand or share the feelings of others.
    • Need for admiration: They crave attention and validation from others, even if it's disguised as self-deprecating behavior.
    • Emotional manipulation: They may create a sense of chaos or negativity in their relationships to keep others on edge.
    • Gaslighting: They may deny reality or manipulate others' perceptions of events to make themselves look good.
    • Avoidance of responsibility: They may avoid taking ownership of their actions or mistakes.
    • Double standards: They may apply different rules to others than they apply to themselves.
    • Envy: They may feel envious of others' accomplishments or possessions.
    • Inability to form healthy relationships: They struggle to maintain healthy, reciprocal relationships due to their manipulative and controlling behaviors.
    • Micro cheating: They may subtly flirt with others or maintain connections with exes, even while in a relationship, without admitting their actions.
    • Humblebrags: They may brag about their accomplishments in a way that seems humble, but is actually a way of seeking attention.
    • Entitlement: They may feel entitled to special treatment or favors from others.
    • Blame-shifting: They may blame others for their problems or mistakes instead of taking responsibility.
    • Self-deprecating remarks: They may use self-deprecating remarks to draw sympathy and attention.
    • Passive-aggressive behavior: They may express anger or frustration indirectly, such as through eye-rolls, sighs, or withdrawing.
Understanding subtle narcissism:
It's important to note that narcissism exists on a spectrum, and many people may exhibit some narcissistic traits without having a full-blown personality disorder. Subtle narcissism is often characterized by a need for admiration and a lack of empathy, but it can be more subtle and harder to recognize than overt narcissism.

How to identify a subtle narcissist:
    • Trust your instincts: If something doesn't feel right, trust your gut feeling.
    • Pay attention to patterns: Look for recurring behaviors or patterns of manipulation, gaslighting, or emotional abuse.
    • Seek professional guidance: If you suspect someone is a covert narcissist, consider seeking professional help from a therapist or counselo
So many words. So much horseshit. :auiqs.jpg:

Wisconsin teen allegedly killed parents in extremist plot to assassinate Trump, FBI says

A Wisconsin teen allegedly killed his parents to "obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary" to kill President Donald Trump and overthrow the U.S. government, federal authorities said in court documents.

Nikita Casap, 17, was arrested in March and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of hiding a corpse, according to Waukesha County authorities. Other charges include theft of property over $10,000 and misappropriating ID to obtain money.

Court documents show investigators are pursuing federal charges including conspiracy, presidential assassination and use of weapons of mass destruction.

The teen's stepfather, Donald Mayer, 51, and mother, Tatiana Casap, 35, were both found dead inside their home by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department on March 1, according to a press release from the department.

The sheriff's department issued a search warrant and say they found material on the teen's phone related to "The Order of Nine Angles," which is "a network of individuals holding new-Nazi racially motivated extremist views," according to investigators.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation reviewed documents allegedly written by the teen, which calls for the assassination of Trump and the start of a revolution to "save the white race," according to federal court documents.

The alleged writings shows images of Adolf Hitler with the following text: "HAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY," according to court documents.
In this screen grab from a video, vehicles from the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department are shown outside the house where the Casap family lived.
Looks like he failed his mission. :dunno:

The trade war continues as China stops export of several rare earthes globally.

Could China bring down the entire West this way?
If we don't get our asses in gear, yes. Let's not have that happen, hmm?

Well, there will be no turning on a dime here. Both countries are just too important to each other right now.

My two concerns are (a) a bond market that is a couple of shocks away from a far worse collapse, and (b) the fact that our former friends are done with us and sniffing around at new options and alliances. Over time that dimishes us even more than we already are.

If Xi gets the upper hand here, we could have some real problems. The best Trump can hope for is complete capitulation, which would -- at best -- make a marginal difference in the lives of Americans. At GREAT fucking cost. I don't know what the rubes think this is going to do for their everyday lives, but it's too late to worry about that now. What's done is done.
STFU you fuckin' asshat. How many years have you been gloomin' and doomin' and Orange Man Badding? Get a new schtick, you stale asshole!

How do you suggest we take them out.
Now might not be the right time when China is running out options in Trump's trade war. When China has no options left, Xi Jinping will have to side with the military which means a take over of Taiwan and a direct military confrontation with the US.

Nope, Just to America.....

Remember when you cut USAID, that was one of the ways you used to get this resources...

This will allow Trump to declare a national emergency and drill for rare Earths here in America

China is also grateful to Biden for surrendering Afghan lithium deposits. Biden was one of the best investments the CCP ever made
Trump signed the withdrawal deal....

Trump wanted isolationism, well this is what it looks like....

Great.

They have several strings they can pull, and evidently our "leaders" don't know that.

What a shock.

Why is the shocking thing that "our leaders don't know that" and not "why does China have the ability to pull our strings at all in thread first place?"
