Okay so although I don't agree with the pastor on the public humiliation part, I agree with him on everything else. This woman shouldn't have gotten pregnant out of wedlock, but that begs the question, what about Mary and Jesus? As Mary wasn't married to Joseph when she had Him.

the 1st century events are the repudiation of judaism's false commandments and hereditary idolatry from its beginning to its ending.

mary and joseph did not fear the liar moses their false commandments or embellish the hereditary idolatry of abraham - the heavenly wise men saw to their safety in the beginning allowing jesus to flourish and the same brevity latter w/ mary magdalen, love not war.

the crucifiers and their christian bible haven't a clue nor all three desert religions w/ the same preamble in all three of their bibles.

Mary & Joseph were husband and wife when Jesus was born.

Oops sorry I meant to say when Mary was pregnant with Jesus my bad.

Welp, when mary told joseph...he thunked she cheated on him & walked out on her. But he met up with 2 angels who told him "Joseph...thou shalt pull thy head out of thine ass...She is pure".

So Joseph went back to her. Gotta give Joseph alot of credit! He was a real man! (What a MAN should be). He took full responsibility for Mary & Jesus.

I know all of that already but even though it was a virgin pregnancy and birth, Mary was still pregnant before she was married correct?

She was betrothed to be married, which (in Biblical times) was a contract considered as binding as marriage. It was a contract between two families that the marriage would take place.

So then that brings up the question what exactly is marriage? As my man and I want to get married as soon as we can and have a family but unfortunately life has been getting in the way.

We've been together forever and we plan on being together for the rest of our lives and it sounds like we aren't too far off for considering marriage to be in the heart and not a ceremony as yes we've been sexually active for years but I'm currently on birth control.

Isn't the Bible contradicting itself then? Or was Mary the exception to the rule? I don't trust the Bible one hundred percent anyways and this is why. I'm a believer in God not man because more often than not men can't seem to get their stories straight. 🙄

If you asked 10 people that question you would get 10 different answers.

I would say...listen to the vows.

You and he are swearing an oath before the world and before God that you will take your beloved...
  • To love and to cherish
  • To have and to hold
  • To honor and obey
  • With fidelity (no cheating)
  • Forsaking all others (no cheating mentioned a second time).
  • For as long as you BOTH shall live...until only in death do you two part ways.

I'll never understand why anybody would take that vow with no intention of living up to it.

Yes, but that doesn't give you or your kids the legal protection from the state. And today...that means alot!

From visiting your loved ones in the hospital to inheritance to health insurance...etc...etc.

There are alot of legal protections for the family when you are legally married.

Wouldn't you want to give your children those protections?

Genesis notes that man was not meant to live alone or in isolation. We find and fulfill ourselves and one another through love. Marriage is a lifelong covenant before God, between a man and a woman that is intended to benefit the couple, their children, their family, their community.

How is life getting in the way of you doing this?

Well...what about Adam and Eve? They had kids but there was no church to get married in...nor was there a priest to marry them.

My point exactly.

Yeah but when you and your spouse are both on SSI that's currently a problem due to the marriage penalty.

Financial struggles and personal business.

Keep in mind, the man and woman marry each other. The priest is a witness to the vows they make to each other.
