This would likely lock in Mahomes as Brady's equal, it would also elevate Andy Reid into the Bill Belichick comparison, some may say they don't have enough rings to compare them but they will have done something no other NFL dynasty has done.

The record for playoff comeback wins when trailing in the 4th qtr is Tom Brady with 9, Mahomes already has 6.

But this is what can make KC unique:

No team has ever 3 peated. No team has ever gone to 3 straight Super Bowls, the back to back champs always lost in their Championship round.

This is the list of teams that made 5 Finals in 6 years:

2105-2019 Warriors
1980's LA Lakers
NY Yankees 2x 1990s-2000s
1980's NY Islanders
1980's Edmonton Oilers
2020's Chiefs

Pats still have 6 SB wins and 9 appearances in their era

KC would have 4 wins and 5 appearances

And yet another terrible homer call gave it to them. Happens pretty much every game.

Buffalo went to four straight S.Bs in the 90s, they just didnt win any of the games.

The 1960's Packers are the greatest NFL dynasty.

Very short dynasty
Packers won titles in a league with 14 teams
Win your division and go straight to the NFL Championship game

Patriots and Chiefs won their titles against 32 teams and had to win three playoff games

And yet another terrible homer call gave it to them. Happens pretty much every game.

I don't know if Buffalo would have won, there was still plenty of game to be played.

But, that was a first down at midfield with Buffalo up one.

The ref who made the spot could not even see the football, overriding the official from the other side who could see the football. And, from replay you could clearly see that official had a better spot for Buffalo.

the football players of today would eat up the players from that era....

The Dallas Texans are a great team whether they 3-Peat or not

The KC Chiefs are an impressive group, no doubt about it. But, IMHO They are still a few years away from being able to mention Mahomes and Brady as if they were equals; and yes...the number of rings does count. As Lancy Howard once said: "Your good kid, but as long as I'm around, you're still 2nd best, your going to have to learn to live with that!"

There always seems to be at least one call or no call that goes in the Chiefs favor late in games. But Mahomes also seems to make big plays late and Andy Reid is a brilliant play caller.

I wouldn’t say that officials are giving the game to KC
But 50/50 calls always seem to go their way

Josh had the first down. The refs blew it.
twice
Troy Vincent is the head of referees. Big DEI guy. Didn't he brag once about an all brother officiating crew
Ya Allen gets a first down clearly marked by an official and a brother comes running in from the KC side and marks him short.

Lol, the Chiefs absolutely get helped by the refs way to often for it to be luck of the draw
