No. Not true. First, you claim that us trading with other countries ruins them. Then you claim trading with China ruins us. Now not trading Cuba is what ruined Cuba?
NO no no.... Cuba ruined Cuba. Period. Our policies didn't do anything. It was their policies that did everything.
We've been economically punishing Cuba for the last 55 years, guy. It's a little more than 'not trading with them". It's threatening to sue anyone else who trades with them.
For instance, I worked for a British company that does most of it's manufacturing in China. BUt they wont' do business in Cuba because America law would then make them subject to being sued by the dirtballs Castro deposited in South Florida.
And they still trade with them, ignoring our supposed threats. Read up dude. Our embargo hasn't done that much for years.
Cuba has imported $7 Billion a year. Which according to you, should be impossible.
Doing business in Cuba was difficult to do without the embargo, because of the communist government. That said, many companies simply do business through foreign companies. The UK, likely wouldn't do much business directly with Cuba, because of their close ties to the US. I will grant you that.
But they often simply do business with Canada, and the Netherlands, and other countries which do business in Cuba all the time.
It's the same as the Arab Oil embargo against the US, which did basically nothing. Instead of selling directly the to US, they sold to other countries, which then sold the same oil to the US. Once the oil is on the boat, and the boat leaves the harbor, it is impossible to control where it goes.
Same with Cuba. Before the recent relaxing of the embargo, Cargil, and Tyson would load up a ship full of food, and send it to.... Columbia, which sold it to Cuba. Or sold it to Venezuela, which sold it to Cuba. The ship would leave an American port, and dock at a Cuban port. Completely legal.
The only difference now is, Cuba can buy directly from Cargil and Tyson. Ironically, the left wing hates both, and claims they are horrible companies, but now is celebrating them being able to spread doom and destruction across Cuba.
Like I said before, you left-wingers have flip flopped all over the place on this, and changed position so many times, you can't even remember what you have said in the past.
