it takes x amount of people to do a job; where are you cutting costs?
Y amount of people are looking for jobs (more than x amount of jobs). An employer can pay less when there are too many people looking for the same job.
Why?
Because if you want the job for $10 per hour, and somebody else will do it for $8 per hour, the employer is going to pay less.
Now, if 5 employers are looking for the same person and there is only one person available, somebody is going to pay much more than $10 per hour.
Supply and demand.
Too many illegal Mexicans have destroyed the job market.
