I’ve known people doing work for NGOs in poor countries. They’re excellent people, nothing like how the right wing media tries to describe them.

It’s pretty clear Musk isn’t doing the kind of careful examination before cutting grants. You can tell by the frequency of mistakes, lies and reversals.

Any program big enough is going to have wasteful spending. I don’t deny it. If I thought they were actually trying to do what they’re saying, I’d support it, but they’ve given me every reason to doubt their competency, sincerity and honesty.

There is no independent appraisal of Mar a Lago. They’re not even comparable as Mar a Lago has legal restrictions that prevent it from ever being used as a single family residence or subdivided.
