Chavez Socialism Being Rejected in Venezuela

Trump laissez faire capitalism being rejected in the US. For the same reasons as the Chavez socialism is being rejected in Venezuela. They are both based on the 'strong man' theory of government, and neither works.

Not hardly. Trump is barely 100 days into his presidency and has accomplished much to reverse Obama socialism. Chavez regime was a product of socialism. It's what happens when your nation turns commie.

Socialism and communism are vile systems perpetuated by those who wish to limit human opportunity, accomplishment and individual liberty. Of course the Venezuelans reject it, as have every society in history. A pox on the homes of those in this country promoting this heathen political and economic system.

Also, isn't it time some in the media start asking Bernie, his supporters and the other alt-left what they have to say about the collapsing of this inhumane system in Venezuela?

Exactly. Socialist systems in Europe are collapsing too. Look at Greece. Socialism=failure.

Bush92 I'd reject it too and fight against it violently...Doesn't have anything to do with all the nations that make up the west and doesn't support loserterianism.
Has everything to do with it. Europeans are moving rightward and rejecting socialism...because it does not work

Authoritarian populism as seen in Venezuela represses, true socialism as Marx theorized liberates.

Marxism oppresses. In his Manifesto Marx said democracy cannot be allowed. You have true socialism in Venezuela. You had it in the Soviet Union. It is a repressive ideology. Capitalism is freedom.

Marx said that until "the state" could create a "new communist man" then you could not have democracy. When the going gets tough...peop,e reject Marxism.
Only in communist society, when the resistance of the capitalists have disappeared, when there are no classes (i.e., when there is no distinction between the members of society as regards their relation to the social means of production), only then "the state... ceases to exist", and "it becomes possible to speak of freedom". Only then will a truly complete democracy become possible and be realized, a democracy without any exceptions whatever. And only then will democracy begin to wither away, owing to the simple fact that, freed from capitalist slavery, from the untold horrors, savagery, absurdities, and infamies of capitalist exploitation, people will gradually become accustomed to observing the elementary rules of social intercourse that have been known for centuries and repeated for thousands of years in all copy-book maxims. They will become accustomed to observing them without force, without coercion, without subordination, without the special apparatus for coercion called the state.

.
There is always an end game to Socialism. When the working population dies of starvation, all that is left is the military and the politicians.

Life under big government socialism. Like the Democrats want in United States.

Just like the perks the communist party members have in North Korea or China.

That is very insightful and refutes your statement that capitalism is freedom.

I didn't see where he said anything about democracy not being allowed.

Can't read?

Bernie orders coffee. Very funny and sadly, in real life, probably true.
