What med schools have aimed to do is bring up the percentage of blacks to about 14% to equal their numbers in the general population. In order to do that, they have to drop the level at which they will accept blacks, since if they were to apply the “white standards” only about 5% would get in.

That is why two out of three blacks got in due to skin color, and one out of three blacks got into due strictly to merit.
