He would have said it against white women (especially white liberal women), otherwise if they were saying really stupid thing's pertaining to the thing's he knew better about, and also saying things that he knew that he could prove them wrong if a good honest debate were to happen between him and them at the time.
Would you agree that if 4 women were to come together, and then they were to espouse likewise opinions, and they just happen to be black in a unified way surrounding their color in those opinions, that they would naturally expect someone to take notice that they were 4 black women who have come together to form likewise opinions on subject's that may negatively affect them as black women(?), even though their opinions might be proven wrong in a debate with Charlie if that debate would have taken place prior to his passing ???

The word you keep ignoring is him saying "SOME", and this is strictly within the political context of subjects that were hot at the time of the participation by all who threw their hat in the ring along with their color if unified because of that being a factor also.
In every race their are "SOME" that are ignorant dumb ace's, and "some"times their are very evil human beings amongst the colors of people in all races.
