With a 74% approval rating, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is America’s most popular governor, followed by Phil Scott (R-Vt.), who gets high marks from 73% of Vermonters, and Larry Hogan (R-Md.), who has a 70% approval rating.

You can put Republican Gov Chris Sununu of NH in there as well. Unfortunately, the MAGA crowd outnumbers the supporters these men would get. They are RINO's to the true believers. Because they didn't bow down and kiss the ring of the savior.
Maybe if the specter of Trump ever disappears or fades from the land, they might have a shot.

The rabid hatred that Baker, Hogan and Scott have for the 74 million Little Trumpsters would make any campaign for the Presidency quixotic for them. If they were to get the nomination, they would have to attract a record number of Democrats and liberals to vote for them to make up for the Republican base they don't want, just to keep it respectable.

They may be successful in their own Far Left states, but the national electorate is a different animal entirely.

Further, the Democrats would literally crucify any of those fellows as "nazis" and "racists" like they do with all Republicans. That would make it very difficult for them to make inroads among minority populations.

Ma. has what, about 7 million people?

Outside of those - literally no one even knows who he is.
