Los Angeles (Knewz) — Good news for the GOP, most of the popular governors belong to their party.

Every three months, Morning Consult takes the temperature of state governor bases. The latest picture is a might rosy one for the Republican party. Nine out of the 10 governors with the highest approval ratings are Republican. The only Democrat on the list is Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

Three Republican governors have approval ratings in the 70-range: Charlie Baker (Massachusetts, 74 percent), Phil Scott (Vermont, 73 percent) and Larry Hogan (Maryland, 70 percent). The aforementioned Beshear is ninth on the list, at 59 percent, ahead in the top ten of only New Hampshire governor Chris Sununu, who sits at 57 percent.
