We must remember this is all about politics and winning elections. What the left is famous for is making traps that can later become powerful narratives amplified by the MSM to fire up the voters to vote for them. If the current GOP goes ballistic it will cost them the midterms. The best thing the GOP can do now is not fall for the leftist traps and set their own traps that cause the left to lose seats in the midterms. After the midterms the GOP can amp up a bit, but realize that it can't go overboard and lose everything in 2028.
