I decided to take this out of the linguistic discussion into a separate topic.

This is a very important question that is not raised at all.
There was a diametrical opposition in the cosmological model of the chthonic and Aryan religions.
The concept of Rta in Vedism was roughly analogous to the concept of Cosmos, in the sense of the universal order. The immediate opposition to Rta is anrta, chaos. Also there was the goddess Nirrti (doom).
All this can be considered an analogue of chaos and its forces.
It is interesting here that in chthonic cults, Chaos is the basis, but in vedism all is the opposite, chaos lies on the periphery of Rta and is secondary to both Rta and the gods who support it.
In other words not Chaos (Tiamat, the feminine principle, the mother of chthonic beings) gave birth to the Cosmos, but on the contrary, Chaos deviated and moved away from the Cosmos. The Aryan Cosmos is large and strong, the chaos is small, but terrible
