Fascist, in this case, simply means supporting troops in the streets, restrictions or punishment for free speech, central control government and suppression of vote, so that minority party candidates can win over majority. Think nothing of it. I know you don't agree with any of those things being done. They probably are not talking about you, even if you are Republican. Most Republicans are, in fact, normal, still supporting the constitution, the laws of the land applied to all, no matter their station, and standing up for the right of people to speak out about government, whether government wants anybody to know what they said and did, or not. All my republican friends are very normal, most of them taking an oath to protect and defend those very things, as I did. At the same time, most Democrats believe in the same things, and have never/will never fire a shot in anger or physically attack anybody on political fervor. If you do know some violent hair on fire Dems, or crazed violent minded Republicans, I would distance myself from them, if I were you, but recognize, the extreme nutballs of both are in the extreme minority of a political party, most likely either one of the two main parties of this country.

With the prevalence of the internet and the loose rules applied in anonymity, I am not sure how you are going to do it, with both radical factions of the two parties egging it on, on a daily basis, saying things they would never say in the breakroom at work or lumber aisle in Lowes. It is not like people on here really think you are the type to follow Brian Kilmeade and advocating for jail time and lethal injections for the homeless on FOX NEWS. I bet you aren't even aware, some nutball went in the two different homeless encampments, shooting 15 homeless the next day, and I am certain you do not approve. Well, hell, I think trump is a fascist, too, but that doesn't mean I think conservatives are. Real Bill Buckley, Ronald Reagan actual conservatives just don't think that way, nor make the kind of statements, some that call themselves conservatives these days, make.
There is a huge faction on both extremes that would like to, and repeatedly attempt to gin up confrontation. On the far extreme, they would really like to see a civil war, as they are mostly unfamiliar with war, in an up close, personal way. Some are anarchist. Some see a profit, somehow. Heck a rightwing militia group tried to recruit me as a trainer, but I knew and had seen one of these assholes making money hand over fist, selling ammo to other assholes in the group for automatic weapons firing range. That man among men, later went to jail for spreading and collecting kiddy porn. These are the fringe people, all people should be aware, exist.
