Well the Catholic church does not have a very good history regarding standing up to mass genocide. During the Holocaust, for example, the Cathol;ic church refused to come out publicly to condemn the Holocaust even though they knew full well what was going on.

The Historian Michael Phayer wrote about the relationship between Pope Pius Xll and the Nazi regime called "The Catholic Church and the Holocaust, 1930-1965"

The Pope concluded that even though the Nazi regime was killing off Jews in large numbers, Stalin was killing Catholics in large numbers. Therefore, Communism was the larger threat as he sought to work with the Nazi regime to fight off Stalin. Secondly, the Pope wanted to protect Rome from the destruction of the war, specifically the Vatican and protecting all it's treasures that would have assuredly all been plundered by the fascist regime that surrounded the Vatican.

For you see, the political power today resides with socialists around the world, just like it did during the era of Pope Pius.

That is why the Pope today gives sermons on the evils of building walls and climate change as he virtually ignores the mass genocide of abortion, that is, the mass genocide according to the official teachings of the Catholic church.

Rome used to throw Christians to the lions. It was a time before the Catholic church existed. Christianiity had a wonderful history for hundreds of years of being a light unto a very dark world. Christians in Rome were known for two things, not worshiping the gods of Rome and not sleeping around. So they rounded them up and murdered them.

And in my mind, this is the model Christians should embrace. If Christians continued to be a light unto the world, instead of tainting itself with the evil regimes around the world like the Catholic church has done, they would get thrown to the lions as the ancient Christians were.

Really the only bad PR from Christians comes from people who mingle the evil state with the church. Then comes the Inquisitions, the Crusades, the witch burnings, etc. For the state is a killing machine based upon the evil desire for political power over your fellow man.

Rome is the capital of the Catholic Church aka Vatican City the smallest state in the world.

Jesus said that his kingdom was not of this world political system, nor could be.
