They were changed to Airmobile during the Vietnam War.

My wife's grandfather was Headquarters Co. 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment in WWII.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. My daughter was a Captain in a Sustainment Brigade of the 101st. My prospective son-n-law is a staff officer with the 101st Artillery. He was her relief when she was given a command.

You are correct, but the unit sent to the border was an MP unit that is part of the 101st. They are Air Assault. My prospective son-in-law graduated from the school last year. He is a Logistics officer and a Major with the 101st artillery brigade.

The response from Border Patrol and most likely the military is going to be swift and severe. They arent playing around anymore. They already designated the cartels as terrorist organizations. I suspect that this will speed up the SEAL team raids.
