Washington, DC belongs to the Federal Government. The Federal Government has multiple law enforcement sources it can draw from to mitigate crime.

Who wants to go back to what Democrats want? Focusing on lighter sentences. Lighter sentences don’t reduce crime. It goes the opposite direction.

Think about it. If you know the severity for the penalty for committing a crime with a gun has been lessened, is a criminal going to be deterred to commit crime? How about store theft? When you increase the threshold of theft to a total value of $900 per incident, why and how is retail theft going to decline?

We tried the Democrat way of reducing crime. It failed.
