Can’t trust the Liberal Media

Between ABC settling because they lied about Trump and CBS once again caught trying influence an election now wants to settle, no wonder why there is a strong market for conservative media.

The rich took over our media. Our Free Press. And you don't even realize it.

The Telecommunications Act of 1996, signed by President Clinton, was the first major overhaul of telecommunications law in over 60 years, aiming to promote competition by deregulating broadcast and telephone markets. It significantly eased ownership restrictions, allowing massive media consolidation, reducing local content, and encouraging cross-ownership of TV, radio, and cable.

Who owns the WAPO? Bezos? Where do you get your news? Facebook, X, Truth Social?

Whatever the liberal media presents, your first question should be "what aren't they telling us?"
Usually, what they leave out negates the narrative they want to push.

When have the rich never controlled the media? I would argue that the digital media offers more outlets and opportunities from all voices; Liberal, Conservative, Left, Right.

It does, because the cost of entry is much lower. You no longer need a printing press, paper and ink supplies and an army of reporters to be a part of the media. All you need is a camera or data input device and an internet connection, something virtually everyone has.

79 percent of journalists identify as liberal or Democrat. You are correct…. They sit on stories that don’t fit their agenda. The blatant bias in the Liberal media created the market for biased conservative media. Fox News gets trashed all the time yet they have more liberals on their network than do all of the other networks have conservatives.

Fox News isn’t really journalism. They don’t investigate. At best, they sit online and repeat the shit everyone else is talking about.

Actual journalism is like when the WSJ uncovered the UAE investment into Trump’s crypto business. That kind of thing would never come from Fox News.

Blah, blah, whine fuss. The same can be said about every talking head on TV, regardless of network.

I don’t really watch TV. The real journalists as far as I can tell are all in print media, but is an ever shrinking circle because fewer and fewer people value journalism. This is especially true for the conservatives who say that they care about journalism but prove otherwise by how they spend their money.

"Both sides do it, but the other side is so much worse". I've heard it all before. Everybody does confirmation bias, it happens on here all the time. Somebody sees a headline they agree with and slap it on a thread, claiming it's proof of something or other, meanwhile ignoring other stories that say the exact opposite. They then claim their source is unimpeachable because it says something they agree with until it says something they DON'T agree with, then they're fake news.

So if you don't watch TV, why do you have a negative view of FOX without even knowing what they do?
Oh ... wait ... you're a Leftist. You're told what to think.
Never mind.

Being able to source discriminate is a skill taught throughout education, especially college, but is sadly lacking in today’s public.

The ability to figure out who actually knows what they’re talking about is very valuable.

Convincing people that “everyone lies and you can’t believe anything” only helps those who are very intent on getting people to believe their lies.

If you can’t believe anyone, then you can believe whatever you want since there’s no difference between that and accepting what is reported by journalists.

And it will only continue to worsen as paid commentary attempts to masquerade as responsible journalism.

That is true.

The problem is the NYT is the template and broadcast channels require FCC licensing yet lean hard left. That’s essentially malfeasance. That’s a major problem. Rationalizing that by pointing to backlash alternatives only attempts to excuse the problem.

There was a time when the corporate side did not tell the news side what it could or couldn't report.

Who owns the digital media? Name the sources. How many people are getting lied to on the digital media? And why is the right buying up all the media? And not letting powerful left wing voices on the air who would draw ratings like Rush did? Don't they care about money? Nope. They care more about controlling the message. Controlling you.

No Left Wing voices? Seriously?

No Left Wing voices? Seriously?

Right wing radio reaches more than Fox News does. And Fox is number one political news on TV, right?

Conservative talk radio commands a massive, loyal audience in the U.S., particularly among older, white, and male demographics, often dominating the AM dial due to historically high demand for conservative content, deregulation in the 1990s, and a highly engaged listener base. Shows like Sean Hannity have reached millions, reinforcing a trend where right-wing, populist, and Christian-oriented talk radio serves as a primary, in-depth, daily medium for millions of conservative voters.

See? Even AI blames the reregulations in the 90's. I told you guys this is one of the time Clinton stabbed us liberals in the back. By deregulating the media. And you claim it's liberal media, when it's not.

Even ABC. I think George Stephanopolis is a Clinton Democrat but those media's are run by Bush Republican types. Even they don't like Trump. But the GOP has been taken over by crazies.
