Cancer patient’s treatment put on hold over ObamaCare

Plans rolled in and out of networks for decades before Obamacare. She can get her surgery.

Pretty wild huh? A person has so much political angst that she'd use her breast cancer as a tool. Crazy shit.

She does not want the doctors that are available, not that doctors are not available.

Avoid getting cancer, especially if your company is going to drop your insurance. Thanks Obama!

three things wrong with this story ...and a story it is
1) fox NEWS reported it
2) the ACA you can't get your policy canceled because you have cancer...
3) the company canceled her policy not the ACA
so if you want to get to the real facts, fine, look it up... none of these health care policy that are being cancel unless the company you work for canceled it this company did in this case ... all policies have cancelation date in April ... so she could get her operation right now if she wanted ... Nice try FOX NOISE lets lie some more about the ACA

LOL, sorry the plans that were not grandfathered ended 12/31/13.
The Companies cancelled the plans because they were not compliant with what the ACA mandated as coverage, therefore the plans were cancelled BECAUSE of the ACA, not by it.

No not ALL polices have an April cancellation date, you really have NO idea as to what you are talking about.

I think you better look it up its april 1 2014 is when the grandfathering of the health care laws is ends... nice try... I can't remember the date in 2010 that the grandfathering law ended at but you had to have a health care plan before 2010 ... if you get a health care plan after that date in 2010 it won't be grandfathered in ... so what is it you're really tying to say here???

I am telling you that our Granfathered Plans end 12/31/15 as do MOST .

Let me ask you a question.....IF all these plans end 4/1 why does open enrollment end ffor all intents and purposes 3/15?

I heard a caller on a radio show who said something similar happened to her.
the problem was that her insurance got cancelled right before a critical surgery procedure that she could not risk cancelling.

But because the new system wasn't working yet, she couldn't get the replacement insurance through the federal website.

Now, you can argue hey, just because it got cancelled doesn't mean it was Obamacare.
the insurance companies can be blamed if they are abusing and blaming that.
OR it could be they would cancel without Obamacare.

But that is something that is now the responsibility of Obamacare to answer for.
If you change things, where you cannot tell how much is caused by you or not,
you are still responsible for the blame.

If you rob a store and shoot out so many people, you cannot tell who got shot by police and who got shot by you, you were still the one robbing the store and causing people to get shot.

If someone walks by and steals something during the robbery, it is still because you distracted everyone so of course you will still get blamed.

Only if you didn't rob the store, and that person came by and stole, then it would be clear that it was their fault and nothing you did.

If you push changes where there is no accountability for why what changed or who to blame, you are still responsible for insisting on these changes and all the problems it causes, including not being able to tell what is the fault of ACA or not.

Maybe you should have thought of that before issuing mandates with repercussive effects.

For example, had the ACA been enacted where it was VOLUNTARY to follow
then yes you could blame insurance companies for making changes that reduce
access or coverage or increase costs for the consumers.

But it was made mandatory without testing it out first
so that was part of the consequences of the bill.

Obama should have tested something like this out first, in a fixed setting
as Massachusetts is still working through its issues, so responsibility could be taken
BEFORE imposing it across the nation and using everyone as a guinea pig in an experiment

There were not proper "controls" set up to see where the problems were going to surface for correction.

Just forced it on people, and then waited to see what would happen and work it out from there.

Without taking financial responsibility for the aftermath,
knowing the blame can be shifted to the insurance companies.

You could only blame them if you didn't force them under any other changes.
Then it would be clearly their fault.

Any repercussions or misplaced blame is still because you can't
tell the way the legislation was set up, to mandate some things
but not provide universal coverage and protection so it is arbitrary what will happen.
