I get his point though especially for the elderly etc, but citizens must be able to defend themselves. I was assaulted multiple times by my wife, sometimes with a weapon where I blacked out for a second and I couldn't dare call the police as it would be me destroyed for any of a multitude of reasons even as I was just the punching bag.

I go more for the Al Pacino idea of dealing with a home invasion.
Although he did die, at least he stood a chance by fighting back. Complying wasn't going to help the situation with those piece of shit home invaders.
