As Conservatives and Liberals hiss and spit at each other here over a multitude of issues, maybe we can try something different: Can you find 3 things with your own party you don't agree with? I'll start. I'm a moderate Democrat, but don't agree with these 3 things:

1. I'm fundamentally opposed to sanctuary cities. This looks like an uneven application of the law.

2. The "defund the police" slogan was a stupid thing to say, and would be even more stupid to do, and I don't support it.

3. Democrats need to stop making the white man the poster boy for every conceivable problem in this country. Other ethnic groups (and women) are just as guilty of racism, sexism, and corruption but Democrats NEVER want to admit this.

Would anyone else care to disagree with their party?

1) I live in a sanctuary state , the damage is beyond comprehension

2) Our protectors simply bow to enforcing law, they don't make it

3) I make no excuses for my race , so why do other races make excuses for theirs?

~S~

1) Both sides spend too much
2) Both sides want the same thing, one just pursues it faster
3) They all get rich by doing things the people can't do

1. Trump-45 cut taxes without cutting spending hoping to grow the economy, that means more borrowing even if revenue increases slightly. If Trump-47 wins and Elon Musk cuts spending $2T that would be a huge win for the US dollar.

2. Republicans need to fix entitlements, Social Security & Medicare even if it means raising taxes, or raising the cap. (Democrats don't have any entitlement fixes either.)

3. There are new taxes that Republicans should support.
a) Remittance tax on all money sent out of the US (to pay for the wall)
b) A Transaction Tax on financial transactions to inhibit computer trading and make more "buy and hold" investors that gives more capital to companies to invest.
c) The "Capital Gains" tax break needs to be removed. Income is income even if you're a billionaire. Someone needs to pay taxes, and as Leona Helmsley said "only little people pay taxes".

I am only in agreement with the Democrat party just less than 50% and only with the Republican party just a little more than 50% according to Pew Institute Studies. I am a registered Democrat. Three major things I disagree with them on is abortion, gun control, defund the police. For Republicans the three are supply side economics, unions, public education.

Frequently and strongly at times. I was ready to--figuratively--machine gun the bunch of the GOP when, despite having the majority to do it, refused to repeal Obamacare, refused to pass Trump's immigration reform that was the best I have ever seen from any administration, refused to give him the funding he needed to build the wall. There have been any number of other things, but that's a good start.

But no thinking person is going to find any political person anywhere that he/she will agree with 100% of the time and that is much MUCH more true when you have a large group of politicians in a particular political party. Achieving consensus enough among themselves along with all the concessions and compromises required to accomplish serious legislation, means that they sometimes will disappoint or even infuriate us.

1. The GoP has failed to serve as an effective counterweight to Democrat Party efforts to drag us to the left. I can’t blame liberals in the Dem Party for acting on the issues in a way that further their interests — as much as I can blame even moderately conservative Republicans for their failure to apply the breaks.

2. The GOP has a few valiant and stalwart members who grasp that our national addiction to spending is probably the main cause for our economic woes. Yet as a political institution, the GOP allows massive and reckless spending to be the norm.

3. Our political (GOP) leaders are right in what they say publicly about the flood of illegal aliens. But they suck ass in doing anything effective about it. Talk is cheap. Actions which do speak louder than words is what’s needed.

Bonus:

4. I am pro life. I am proud that the GOP position is generally also pro life. However, I have come to accept as true and as obvious that if we don’t allow for some critical exceptions to “anti abortion laws” that we will never get to the actual problem. We need to agree to exceptions for rape, incest, the age of the mother as a minor and physical dangers to the mother when we seek to prevent the slaughter of abortion. If we don’t allow for those exceptions, it’s all but impossible to prevent the pro abortion crowd from winning the debate.

As a center left progressive, I have no party in America as far as parties go.

Therefore, for me, it's only a matter of quantity and degree to which I disagree w/the current two mainstream political parties.

1. The GOP sits on their arse as the Left passes all kinds of Constitutional amendments to the states. The Red State of Ohio, for example, has recently passed a Constitutional amendments for gambling, smoking pot, and now unlimited and unregulated abortion, even partial birth abortion. Their Constitution looks like Hunter Biden wrote it. All the GOP needs to do is get in there and offer an amendment such as an amendment to outlaw such things as partial birth abortion, trans from participating in women's sports, or other amendments that would easily pass for conservatives, but no.

2. They spend too much.

3. They have no pulse. They are basically a punching bag that never fights back, outside of maybe Trump, DeSantis, and the governor of Virginia at times. Trump had a GOP Congress that could not, I mean refused, to repeal and replace Obamacare and secure the border, all of which they all ran on to do. Then they could not figure out why they all got voted out in 2 years. Funny that.

I don’t agree with those who support a total abortion ban there should be limits but no ban.
I don’t agree with the idea you can deal with the national debt with spending cuts alone.
I disagree with the take some have on regulations some want virtually none where some on the left go way overboard with them like with abortion there needs to be a middle ground.

Other than Trump (maybe Vance) and Rand Paul I don't trust the gop at all.....They are simply the lesser of two weevils....Don't forget that and you will be fine.

Anyone who's not a hyper-partisan hack is going to find policy matters of disagreement with his or her affiliated party.

1. Capitalism sucks nearly as much as socialism. Transitioning to something better could take a century, so I don't expect anyone to do much about that now.
2. Christianity, or what politicians call Christianity, is long past stale. And there are some parts in conflict with capitalism, so people claiming to be both capitalist and Christian get into some strenuous verbal contortions.

Aside from those, I currently lean Republican.

Everyone should be INDEPENDENT. We should hire people with the experience education and some common scene,
With a very large amount of honesty. And a major interest in working for the many & not just the few.
IF I listed negatives, the list would be long & include all political party's.

I grew to so thoroughly oppose what the organization formerly known as the Republican Party has become, I changed my voter registration to Independent in 2017.

They no longer believe in family values, having elected and then nominated a pussy-grabbing rapist who has cheated on three wives.

They no longer believe in fiscal conservatism. Do I really need to explain?

They have allowed racists, hypocrites, liars, thieves, cowards, and psychopaths to take over the party.

They have ZERO integrity.

I could go on and on, but that should be enough.

If Revenue stays about $5T and Elon can cut $2T, that fixes the fiscal mess, especially if the Trump-45 tax cuts expire. (if democrats take the House and the GOP takes the Senate)

Biden’s 2025 Budget is $7.30T with a $1.8T deficit______TOTAL BIDEN $6.9T (in theory)
Biden’s 2024 Budget was $7.30T with a $2.0T deficit
Biden's 2023 Budget was $6.13T with a $1.7T deficit
Biden's 2022 Budget was $6.27T with a $1.4T deficit
Trump's 2021 Budget was $6.82T with a $2.8T deficit___ TOTAL TRUMP $7.6T (actual)
Trump's 2020 Budget was $6.55T with a $3.1T deficit
Trump's 2019 Budget was $4.40T with a $0.9T deficit
Trump's 2018 Budget was $4.10T with a $0.8T deficit

I think many right wingers are foolish for supporting the police. I think we should be more supportive of unions. I think we should be more supportive of taxpayer funded healthcare.

I'm on the right.

1. I don't agree with capital punishment. Seems weird to me that when it comes to abortion, murdering a fetus is abhorrent but murdering a criminal is just fine.

2. I'm for fiscal responsibility but, even though Republicans often talk a good game for it, they usually fall far short in actual practice and I'm not against raising taxes as long as spending is cut. Democrats never want to cut spending. Every time they want to raise taxes it isn't to help reduce our debt, it is to spend even more.

3. When it comes to gun control, I'm not against common sense gun control legislation with a very HUGE caveat:
First we keep all of the known dangerous people locked up. We need to be tougher on crime instead of letting people out who commit violence with guns and then keep on letting them right back out, including felons found in possession of guns and then we let even them right back out. Total stupidity. I am 100% against any gun control until this is done FIRST. After we do that, then I'm open to talking about common sense gun control legislation but it's my guess we wouldn't have to because it isn't law abiding gun owners doing all the shooting. In any event, that ain't never happening because Democrats refuse to lock criminals up and keep them locked up.

It`s an organization of white men that`s responsible for this country being a daily shooting gallery and it`s been a few years since I've heard any whining about sanctuary cities.
Due to the Biden/Harris economy, we have a shortage of workers.
