Rogan isn't rightwing, he just has discussions with people other's don't even think of talking to, left or right.

You don't understand. Anyone who does that inevitably gives someone on the right airtime, and that's not allowed. If you do that, to these cretins you are automatically and irredeemably right-wing. I do believe they literally think that way. They can't quote a single thing Rogan said without Googling it frantically first, but they just know that they are supposed to hate him, so they do. It doesn't matter if somebody he was interviewing said it, the fact that it was on his show means he said it. That is the level they're operating at.
