The Dems campaign actually creates the divide.

They say Trump creates some divide, but it generally isn't with Americans, it is with American citizens and those who are in the U.S illegally. It is between the average citizen and the elite.

The Dems outwardly divide by race and gender. Obama telling black men they must vote for the black woman. Commercials sowing division and telling women to basically force their men to vote for her.

As to the question, whether or not the US will be united again, my personal answer is, probably not. In 1990, when the internet came to be, the public joyously claimed that the internet would be a great uniter of peoples. My response to this claim was that it would actually be a "double-edged-sword." As the world is a serious mix of very different cultural and political beliefs and I could see where this would generate a mix of praise and hate. Enough of that.
The Republican Party has a problem. The left, while a mix of old-school liberals, Marxists and loons, decided to unify when it came to voting. The old-school liberals like Bill Mahar considered the leftist lunacy, just that. Despite the idiocy, he stuck with his party, held his nose and voted for Democrat politicians anyway.
This unity doesn't exist in the Republican Party. They've always been divided on issues and have no problem siding with Democrats on some issues. There are also other "Republican" politicians in heavy red states that only list themselves as Republican on their tickets, but vote Democrat. We call them RINO's. Republicans In Name Only. So, because of the lack of complete unity in the Republican Party. Wins in major races will probably dwindle. It is important though, that they try to weed out the RINO's and be more unified, as the so-called Democrat Party are no longer the party of JFK. They have made it clear that they want to end the multi-party system and have a One-Party-Only Government in the Marxist realm.
