Can the Trump supporters explain something to me?

That's the point of this thread. Trump's not even president and he's already flip flopping on issues that got him elected.
The democrats have nothing to do with this.
He'll be in office in five days. Your worries are premature. For crying out loud, quit running around in your head looking for problems that don't exist. Seems you would be more interested in the lack of governing that has been the hallmark of the current admin.

Of course, you can blame congress when they control what spending bills make it to the president. When they give him something he really wants and lard it up with all the garbage they want, he has a tough choice, either cave or have the usual suspects ranting about how he vetoed Granny's prescription coverage with no mention of the billion-dollar bridge to nowhere with a politician's name on it.

We all know TRUMP! was a democrat at one time, then grew up.

The way Trump spent and increased the size and scope of government, I have my doubts about him not being a democrat (at heart) now days. His actions are that of a democrat. His spending problem. The way he wants to eliminate the debt ceiling. His support for bigger government. And other issues that prove he's still a democrat.

No they don't. Not enough to cover the tax loss from the tax cuts. It's never worked.
The loss of the USD value, from all the borrowing, completely obliterates any gains from the tax cuts. We get an extra $20 in our paychecks, but the cost of everything we buy goes up $30.
You have to dig a bit deeper in understanding, I posted a link for you.

Instead of focusing on tax cuts, focus on out of control spending causing tax hikes.

Cripes taxation is killing people. Stop the insane spending, basically the US is teetering on being bankrupt.

Where's your evidence that it hasn't ever worked?

Seems to me every time federal taxes have been cut, tax receipts increase within a few years....Never mind that the gubmint always finds a way to piss away those funds.

When has it NOT happened that Laffer was proved correct?

This ain't about Biden's spending. It's about Trumps promise to spend less than Biden. This new reconciliation bill, that Trump wants, spends more than Biden's last one.

At least try to focus on the subject, please.
If Trump spends money that does good and stops spending that doesn't, he will spend less than Biden. You cannot evaluate that with a single bill but that single bill should be scrutinized. Does it do good for Mom and Pop American? Or doesn't it?

If they'd have cut taxes and not increased spending, there'd be solid evidence that either tax cuts work or not. But no time in my life have they cut taxes and not increased spending.
Our tax rate is fine. Our biggest loss come from the inflation and devaluation of the USD that comes from all the borrowing and spending. That in itself is a tax increase. By doing that, Trump increased the inflation tax 16%. His tax cuts were about 5% to the average person. A net loss of 11% to most Americans.

The two are separate issues...I even stipulated that the increase in revenue always gets squandered.

Inflation is a third issue...Though a legitimate concern, not central to the focused point.

Now answer the question: when has Laffer been proven wrong?

But that's not what Trump is doing. That's what he says he's going to do. It's what he said he was going to do in 2016. But never done it. And now, the way he's wanting a new government agency, increased reconciliation bill, bashing conservatives who tried to cut real money from the last CR, Trump is doing exactly what Biden did. And what he did his first term. Spend more. Increase the size of government. Increase the size of the swamp.
In his first term Trump did more good for Mom and Pop America in ALL demographics than any President of my now very long lifetime. How can you say he is expanding the size of government with a DOGE division that will likely be recommending that a number of departments/government agencies will be eliminated? You are stating a blatantly false premise here.

By the way both Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will be donating their time and want no salary. Of necessity they will likely need a staff who will need a paycheck but that will certainly be offset many times over by eliminating unnecessary, inefficient, ineffective government that will likely involve thousands of employees who will be returned to the private sector.

If Biden is right that there is a huge labor shortage in America, those laid off should have no problem finding work in the private sector.

IF....... But he won't. He's already wanting more spending. His support for this upcoming reconciliation bill is proof of that. That's one of the biggest points I'm making in the OP.

Why don't you just focus on the topic?
Your topic is always the same

You’re pissed that trump was elected president

But its a fact you will have to learn to live with

Government created inflation is in direct connection to all of this, because it's all part of our economy and the government budget. Higher inflation, means higher wages. Higher wages means fewer jobs. It also mean more people are spending less.

It's all part of the same spider web.

When you decide to address the topic, let me know. But as long as you want to childishly argue and turn this into a personal argument, leave me out of it.

Spending and huge reconciliation bills are two separate issues as well.

You realize the reconciliation is the process by which Senate cloture votes are circumvented, right?

And while we're on the subject, have you even seen the bill?...Does it even exist yet?

Still avoiding the core question, in order to filibuster with your bellyaches.

Again, when has Laffer been proven wrong?
