Yes, that's what happens. That's exactly what's going on in Argentina now, after Milei has made such drastic cuts in spending and debt. Pulling the tit out of a fat babies mouth, you're going to get some crying. There's no easy fix. But not fixing it only means the problem gets worse.

I'm all for fixing it now, before the problem fixes itself by totally collapsing. Either fix what's broken now, or we'll have to completely rebuild it later.

I agree that President Milei has implemented the right policies - but those individuals and entities addicted to the easy money provided by inflation are not going to have the patience to wait for a correction. Sad.

A month ago, Trump supporters were drooling over Trump wanting smaller bills with huge cuts in spending.
This past week, he wants a huge reconciliation bill, with everything in it. "One big beautiful bill" as he calls it.

He's even caved on migrant children of illegals. They won't touch that subject with a 10ft pole, except to say that he wants all of those illegals deported.
Issue after issue, Trump has flip flopped. And they just ignore it.

The dems would take the majority at first. That's a given. But history shows, they don't keep the majority very long. Not anymore than the RINO's do.
Two years of conservative leadership/majority, without even reaching the debt ceiling, not borrowing anymore money, not engaging in wars that have nothing to do with us and all the other things that conservatism brings, the people would start seeing what they've been missing.
Keep in mind, most voters now days have only lived under RINO or democrat rule. Except in their own personal or business budgets, they've never gotten a taste of real conservatism.
Some are like that video I watched the other day, where a mom started making her daughter pay her own credit card bills. She was in her late teens. But still thought that when she paid for stuff on a credit card, that that was the end of it. "Why do I need to pay for that stuff twice," was her reply. I don't think most Americans are that dumb. But I really don't think they understand a lot about government spending, where it comes from. The damage all that borrowing does to the USD value. Or why $15hr is now a poverty wage.
Just like a LOT of Trump supporters don't have a clue as to why so many migrants come here. It's simply because that same $15 is like the CA gold rush, back in the day. Where most of them are coming from, $15 per DAY, is a normal wage.

List the things that the individual citizen can do to make a difference? Do we even get to pick who runs for office? No, we only get to pick from whoever is put out there by the powers that be, so when you figure out a solution to that problem, let us know.
