The use of the military to enforce federal law is up to congress.

Article 1, Section 8
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

to execute the laws of the union
Clearly congress has the power to have the military enforce the laws of the union they choose.

That's where Posse Comitatus is congresses execution of that power, which was to say that the military could NOT be used to enforce federal law.

Clearly any power that congress has, it similar has the power not to use it.

If you accuse people of shooting ICE agents, you have to show they knew they were ICE agents.
