Can religion REALLY predict your VOTE?

I think from the interaction so far, the answer is obvious.

Science has been used to belittle those of faith and is pushed as such in public education.
You're trying to run out the back door, but your first choice is obviously in trying to have the tropic shut down.
Add to that the intolerance for so much as a prayer in school, and what you wind up with is an entire generation told essentially that there is no God, fed continuously while in public education that has led to a secularized society
Even we atheists can accept the Catholic churches modernized beliefs. In a nutshell: We're allowed to believe that evolution (the evolving universe) created everything, as long as we believe that the god created everything!
Science today is constantly being fed as "the answer" to all our ills, while the Bible has a different message which can be seen in the story of the Garden of Eden.
The garden of Eden story is accepted as only allegorical. That's not even a serious yarn anymore. But that doesn't mean that allegorical acceptance of the story is not belief in the god.
In that story, you had a tree called the tree of "knowledge" that mankind craved, but was told that partaking of it by himself without direction was forbidden. But man lusted after the knowledge anyway, and then partook of that knowledge apart from God and fell from grace becoming the first official sin of mankind.
The fossil record of early man? Lucy and dozens of socalled missing links?
But is knowledge bad? No, not if wisdom is used with it, which God represents in that story.

Knowledge without wisdom brings death is the message, but those not of faith belittle the story as stupid, even though we see examples of this truth every day.

Knowledge of allegorical stories in the bible is necessary to prevent the death of Christianity.

And that's the reason why the Catholic church knew that the time had come to reform to accepting Darwinian evolution.

The video is off topic and was deleted for that reason..

Left cultism is very much a religion.

I should not only pick on "the Left" and the DNC.

Looking back in human history, it occurs to me a common theme of the evil that is inflicted upon mankind comes from government. In 1 Samuel 8 we have a story of the Hebrew people rising up and demanding a human king. Before that, the Hebrew nation was a loose confederacy of judges to keep the peace. But God warned them saying that they were rejecting him as their king, and told them of the abuses they would endure if they chose to persist on wanting a human king. But they refused to listen, and God gave them what the wanted in King Saul, which was their first human king.

It only took 2 more kings later before the entire Hebrew nation had split apart and circling the drain till they found themselves in the ovens of Nazi Germany.

Historically speaking, however, human kings once claimed to be God himself as we saw with the Pharaohs of old. But when that fell out of favor kings began to say they spoke for God, as you saw the Pope rule and reign over Europe as he became their sole dictator. But when that fell out of favor, the state then told the people that there is no real God, starting with communist Russia.

But in every single instance, the issue is not whether the people believe in a God or not. The issue is the supreme power and influence of the state which the state demands. Telling people there is no God essentially makes those running the state the "experts" and the closest thing to a God, so nothing really changes when they declare there is no God all of a sudden.

The vast number of people who have walked the earth have been slaves. It is only God who makes man free as men find ways to enslave and control them in various ways.

Those who believe in the 'make believe' god are more likely to vote rightist.

Atheists are most likely politically left leaning.

But beware that atheism is only defined as not believing in the gods, and nothing more.

The bible, being the word of the god, promotes slavery and He even sets down rules on how to kill your slaves and get away with it.

fkn disgusting!

Just injure your slave enough that he/she lives for at least two days and it's all within god's will if he/she dies on the third day.

The god even stupulates when a slave must be released from slavery, but allows you to keep his wife and children as your property.

Is all that allegory?.

Slavery is literal as well as an allegory, as slavery can be seen as an allegory for sin.

Also, the Biblical slavery you speak of is akin to how the Bible talks about divorce.

Matthew 19:3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”

4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

God's plan for mankind was never for slavery just like his plan was never for divorce, rather, slavery was simply a consequence of fallen man's sin. It is true that Mosaic law permitted slavery, but with exceptions. Keep in mind that the entire world during that time was completely immersed in slavery. In fact, if it were not for the Biblical text, we very might all still be slaves. But Moses was sent by God to free the slaves in Egypt who toiled 24/7 to the whim of a dictator. For the first time, the slaves were rebelling and leaving in mass. Once they were on their own, there were people within the tribes who struggled to make ends meet, so they were allowed to be owned for a period of not more than 7 years, after which time, they had to be set free again to try and make it on their own again. This provision allowed people to survive in a fallen world, much like the Biblical allowance for divorce when the other party refuses to treat the other properly. Also, for the first time in history slaves were given a day of rest during the Sabbath which was unheard of. This provision is why we even have a weekend of rest from our work. So, no, God did not completely rid mankind of all slavery because God did not completely rid mankind of all sin yet, but it was the beginning of doing so. At some point, it will all be gone forever.

Compared to the slavery of Black in the 1800's, however, this was nothing comparable to Biblical slavery. That slavery was the abuse of an entire race of people to accumulate vast amounts of wealth indefinitely, and all based on race.

According to you, yes. You think you have the understanding to decide what is believable and what is not.
As for slaves, God didn't make Adam and Eve and a maid and butler to wait on them.
God is constantly having to deal with our behavior. God didn't give Adam a sword or a gun so he could go to war. But God did decide the outcomes of battles and war. He didn't invent slavery, but since we did, God laid down rules to follow. Masters were told to respect their slaves and slaves to do likewise with their master. Slaves were to be regarded as family members, and receive just pay and inheritance. And were not to be harmed or mistreated.

Exodus 21:20-21

20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

You can substitute the word 'slave' for 'wife', but I'm not going there!!

Leftist atheists and Catholics believe in Darwinian evolution.

The political right is holding back, kicking and screaming, is not, is not, is not, ..........................
MAGA has sent American "Christianity" back a long way.

Jesus was too woke for them, so he's been replaced.

The god stipulated that slaves were human property that the owner couldn't beat so badly that the slave died in the first two days following the beating. Proof that He was a loving god!

I mean fuuuuuuuu......................., it gets even worse than that Ram!!

The slave could be set free but as long as he didn't get so uppity to start thinking he could take his wife and children too!!

There is a whole section that God lays out on how to treat a slave if you have one. The people that He was telling this to are the Jewish slaves that left Egypt with Moses. < They absolutely knew how slaves were treated by man. God laid out a whole chapter of specifics on how those Jews were supposed to treat slaves, even though they had not been treated thusly. That is God dealing with man's viewpoint of man.

Here is God's point of view concerning man:

Galatians 3:28. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

The Bible used capital and corporal punishment in the OT to try and maintain law and order within the said society as they had no prison system.

For example, an eye for an eye was used for those who took another life. As a Leftist, you find this detestable as well no doubt since the Left is against the death penalty. I have yet to meet a Leftists who is for the death penalty.

Instead, you prefer to lock people up like animals while being raped and beaten indiscriminately behind bars for an indefinite period of time while they can continue to kill again, and again, and again.

Or better yet, complete isolation indefinitely.

For you, this is more humane?

If the god said it's o.k. to own human property and beat them to death more gently than ifinishing them off in less than two days, then I guess it's o.k. with his Christian flock!

Yes, I'm opposed to the death penalty. My main reason for being opposed to America's death penalty is because the f'd up system shirks responsibility for what it created.

Do you want further discussion on the god's justification of slavery and of murdering them, or is it time to let it go?

Wouldn't it be better to be a loving god to slaves too, and whack them dead today instead of getting an erection out of seeing them suffer for two days? Never mind Him keeping it (maintaining it) up for two days!

Evolution and the Catholic Church - Wikipedia

The Catholic Church holds no official position on the theory of creation or evolution, leaving the specifics of either theistic evolution or literal creationism to the individual within certain parameters established by the Church.
---------------------------------------

And there's more but it's just blah, blah, blah, double talk that says they can have creation by the god and by evolution according to Darwin at the same time.

If a political science professor has a political bias (and they all do) the conclusions are questionable. One thing is certain, you can predict the vote of a person who's religion is global warming.

Why can't both be acceptable?

“People are going to pick a house of worship that aligns with their politics, you know, how they see the political world,” he adds.

Then is it really a house of worship or rather... house of worship of What god?
