Is this a law? I'm talking to my son about it. He is 54. Ready to call it quits.

Makes sense. He just wants to go out quietly and stick it to the manager who is a loser.

He is supposed to attend a meeting next week in Tennessee. He isn't going.

Company treated him well. But that is never a reason to treat the company well in return.
Would a two-week notice kill you? ... asking for a friend ...
2 weeks? He doesn't owe them one day notice in reality. But it's up to him.

unless the company fucked him over some how they at lest deserve a days notice,,

to not show up at an out of town meeting os chickenshit,,
He s tired of working. He can retire nicely. He's 54. That's not too early. I told him retire and don't attend. I let him know that being nice to the company will do nothing.

Why does he owe them a "fair break"? Maybe he will tell them the day before.

The company treated him well? ... y'all aren't big on the Golden Rule then ... to bad ...

You sound angry ... too old to understand? ... you must be the last of the Eisenhower Republicans ...

You make it sound as if he owes the emoyer a thanks or something. That's kind of warped.
